Not bad for Fair camping. Big field to camp in. Fill up with water before parking and bring boards for level parking. Staff is helpful on parking you and answering questions. The city provides internet (Wi-Fi is $6.99/day, $24.99/week, and $39.99/month.) TV reception is marginal with 2 or 3 stations at best. No setup for sewer flush at dump station, just rinse. You can hear the concerts just fine from campground and fireworks nightly at conclusion of concerts. (About 10PM or so). GREAT COUNTY FAIR!

Very nice campground. Owners are friendly and helpful. Modem is located in laundry room if needed. Bathroom and facilities are very clean. Owner/Operator lives on premises. Sites are rocked and pull-through. Lots of eating places nearby (within walking). Mostly stopover traffic for campers. Wi-Fi works good. (Get code from worker.) Also get code for the bathrooms. (Keeps the locals out.) NO FIRES ALLOWED. Will stay again!

It was a typical campground. Sites are average, level and rocky. It was a holiday weekend and very crowded. Host yelled at us about our dogs barking when there were at least 50 dogs in the campground and lots of commotion and people enjoying the weekend. Would probably stay again but not on a holiday weekend. Also, they state that premium sites have a lake view. Well don't base you site on that. The main road is between the campground and the lake and then the lake is at least 75 yards away.

We are local and stay here on a regular basis. Reservation system is still loose. You call and leave a message and if he doesn't call you back, you have a reservation. Then on arrival, drive around until you find your name. The keeper will catch you later to collect. This year I called a month in advance for July 4th. He actually answered the phone. He remembered me and seemed to take the information he needed. My wife drove out the night before to see which spot was assigned for the 4th. HE FORGOT. She found him and he had NO record or could not remember (Surprise). But he had spots available, so he slapped our name on one in the c lot. C lot is the back lot by the road. It had been flooded and virtually no grass, although he did stop on Saturday to tell us to move our truck because it was parked on the dead grass. He has very little tack on dealing with people, just something you have to get use too, kind of like an old grandparent. Anyway, our stay was nice. Had good weather and nice campers. Wi-Fi works pretty good in C lot also.

Pretty standard State Park camping... Electric only sites. Dump and Water fill is available. Several lakes to fish from. Located on North side of town. Next to very active train tracks, so expect to hear trains in the night frequently. Fairly nice spacey spots. You have a fire ring but no grill. Most sites are on a cement pad.

This is a large grassy field set up to accommodate lots of campers attending the fair. The sites are small. Water fill-up and dump is available near the entrance. Lots of attendants to assist and take you to your site. Wireless internet is available for a fee from the city. Not bad for fair going, grounds are kept cleaned up. Camped here several years now. Only restrooms are portapotties.

This was our second stay in the NORTH Campground. We got a 50% discount as stated on their website. All was OK except wireless internet. They just got it in the North campground. It worked the first 2 days then quit. We reported it twice but was never repaired for the remaining week of our stay. The North store was closed the entire stay. The North is OK, but they give very MINIMAL attention to the campers there. Also they have begun installing cabins in various sites. We checked on prices for our visitors and felt the prices were very high for the time of season.

Campground is maintained by the city. Fairly nice campground with cement pads. Water hookup at all. Wi-fi is OK. Seems to be limited to a few hours. Near Missouri River with ramp and marina nearby. Bike path is close by also. Good value for $15.00 per night. Also the method of pay is different. Just park and camp and the caretaker shows up either at night or next day to collect. If you make a reservation, you drive around until you see your name on a site and that is it.

This is a trailer park with permanent trailers. However they do accommodate RVers. They have various sites available among the permanent sites. Pretty nice for a trailer park. Sites are paved and full hookup. Wal-mart and lots of shopping is very close by. Park is pretty quiet with what appeared to be retired people running the operation. Pool looked nice but is closed after Labor Day.

Stayed there a few times. Currently hooking up cable tv...our site had it. They closed pool on friday for cleaning and didn't notify anyone with signs. Would be nice if they did this during the week when it is slow but overall nice. Lots of airplanes with KCI just south.

Park was very nice. Stayed in North campground. People were friendly. Only complaint is internet.. Park is up on everything else but internet. Could at least put wireless router by offices so campers could be by the pool and download email. otherwise park is pretty first rate. Will stay again.

Need to camp by the road. Sites in the timber are too tight for anything but a pop-up. Roads are rocky and tight, plus some sewers at the sites have too small of opening for your hose. Restrooms are old and dirty. Price is very high for this place. Store is OK. Canoeing was fun. Good place for a day or two tops if you want to canoe or tube.
