Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here two nights, considering it was Las Vegas, we thought we had found a very good campsite. Actually got an additional discount as we had a rental vehicle. Facilities were excellent, some road noise but not too bad. Wi-Fi unfortunately was a non starter, had to keep going to the clubhouse to get anything like decent reception. I can only think that as they have something like 700 RV sites then decent Wi-Fi is going to be a problem We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rancho Sedona RV Park, Sedona, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

For the nightly rate we paid ($90) we felt the park was extremely "overvalued" plus endless rules. You had to be inside your RV by 10pm (like being at school!!) All trees on site, ours had nesting blue herons directly above us so cackling birds all night, shame they didn't have to be inside by ten. Beautiful surrounding area but you had to leave the park to enjoy it so probably the local hotel/motel would have been better value. We definitely will not be back. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.

Orangeland RV Park, Orange, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $88.00
Overall Rating:

Slightly more per night than we would usually pay but because of the closeness to Disneyland the higher price was withing reason. Staff were really helpful and friendly sites close but not on top of each other. Big novelty was the ability to pick oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit off their trees, no limit so we enjoyed free fruit for the 5-nights we were there. Would stay here again. We camped at Orangeland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here twice, first time for two nights. We were so impressed with the overall quality of the park/resort we stayed again on our way home. First visit we arrived late at night, just before they actually closed, but the night security guy was extremely helpful and got us booked in very quickly. The park/resort is very well laid out kind of getting away from the usual regimented rows we normally experience. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Supermarket close by, stocks most of the items anyone needs. Recommend the local "Shari's" restaurant just outside the park gates. Food is excellent, plenty of choice but highly recommend their pies, mmm mmm good

Lake Louise Trailer Campground - Electric Hookups (Parks Canada), Banff National Park, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

For a National Park I would have expected the facilities to be much cleaner than they were and in a better state of repair, but overall not too bad.

Major complaint was the "7:10 to Yuma" passing through seemingly every hour. Boy you don't realise how long those trains are until you try to sleep through one passing through.

Sites were shared utilities; unfortunately, if you got the wrong side you had to hope your electric cord reached the box.

Firewood was free if you had a fire pit, only limited number of sites had these but another $8.00 for a fire permit.

I would maybe go back there, but not for any longer than overnight. We camped at Lake Louise Trailer Campground - Electric Hookups (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Kimberley Riverside Campground, Kimberley, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We thought the campground was well laid out though a few steepish hills may deter some.

Staff extremely helpful and professional.

Added attraction for us of a few deer wandering through.

Washrooms were in the process of being renovated but very clean, and unlike a lot of sites nowadays did not charge for the showers

As the campground is around 7 or 8kms out of town would suggest you do any shopping first if you only have a motorhome as transport.

We just stayed the one night but would definitely go again. We camped at Kimberley Riverside Campground in a Motorhome.

Leapin' Lizard RV Ranch, Borrego Springs, California

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for two weeks (nightly rate reflects a weekly price). Really friendly welcome by staff. Site easy to back into and level up the rig; hook-ups conveniently placed. Site had shade trees all round so felt really private, not like on display as with most campsites. Wished we had found this site earlier. Down side (if this is important to you), site is miles from anywhere in the middle of the desert; fortunately, it was just what we were looking for. Plenty of things to see and do in the desert if that appeals to you. Excellent facility for dog; it is kept really clean as was the whole site. Addition of pool and hot tub in progress, so it will be really good once this addition is completed. We would return again and certainly recommend it; well worth it, good value for money. We camped at Leapin' Lizard RV Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Sands RV and Golf Resort (55+ Park), Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Overall, really good park. Sites are "square on" to the road which can make it difficult to park up. Facilities are very good and plenty to do if you want. Tendency to focus more on "permanent" residents rather than overnighters, plenty of park models on-site. WI-FI can rate from excellent to virtually non-existent dependent on number of sites filled. Pay particular attention to re-booking and/or refund policies if you intend to stay here or return here before you commit as you may get caught out as some friends of ours did. Won't be back again as very cold and extremely windy this season. We camped at Sands RV and Golf Resort (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.
