Buffalo Meadows RV Park (Fort Hall Casino Campground), Fort Hall, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Great spot for an overnight stop. Right off the interstate. Paved, fairly level site with FHU. Sufficient space between sites and bathrooms were okay. We would camp here again. We camped at Buffalo Meadows RV Park (Fort Hall Casino Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Clear Creek RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park within the town limits. The sites are really close together but the surrounding area is very nice (creek, walking trails, walk to town). We called the morning of our stay during the week and were able to secure a FHU site. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Minooka Park COE, Sylvan Grove, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground overlooking the lake. Not very crowded at all during the week. Big pull-through site with water and 30 amp. Only drawback would be 7 miles off the interstate on a bumpy two-lane road. We would camp here again if traveling through the area. We camped at Minooka Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped here for an overnight stay. Nice grassy, level, shaded pull-through spot right off the Interstate, but didn't really notice the road noise. Plenty of space between sites. Helpful staff. We camped at Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Little Buffalo State Park, Newport, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, quiet state park, but not many activities. Easy to access, most sites are level, some are not shaded. Some are close together. Clean restroom and shower. Swimming pool and waterpark is one of the best in any state park. Cost $4 for adults but definitely worth it on hot summer days. Pool is in the park about a mile away. We would camp here again. We camped at Little Buffalo State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ocean View Resort Campground, Ocean View, New Jersey

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground only three miles from the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most sites are large and shaded. Bathrooms are fairly new and kept clean, though, it wasn't very crowded when we were there. All roads are paved but narrow and winding in some places. May have trouble with a larger trailer. Negatives - pool was not open during the week even though it was quite warm and we would have gone swimming. Only open on the weekends and it doesn't open during the week until June 20th. Also, no other activities. Rate is off-season until June 20th, then $69 and $85 - not worth that price. We camped at Ocean View Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hickory Run Campground, Denver, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Overall, the campground is just okay. The roads are horrible. There are a lot of potholes on the entry road and throughout the campgrounds. The bathrooms were outdated. The free pancake breakfast on Saturday morning was a plus. Our full hookup site was big enough and easy to get into. We have camped here a few times over the last 25 years and the campground looks basically the same as it did 25 years ago. No real improvements at all. We camped at Hickory Run Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Artillery Ridge Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The rate is Passport America. This is a nice location near the battlefield. There is easy access off of the highway. The sites are very close together, even in April when it's not very crowded. The staff was friendly. The bathrooms were adequate. There is a nice campstore full of collectable items. This is an okay campground, but not worth $55 full rate. We camped at Artillery Ridge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer Park Campground, Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park and well taken care of. Easy check-in and friendly staff. We used the swimming pool which also was very nice. An added touch was the ice cream social. Paid $1 and got to talk to other campers about places we were planning to visit. Some deer were wandering around. We would stay here again. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Happy Holiday Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice campground. Staff was good and the grounds were clean. This is a good location for Mt. Rushmore and Custer SP. The sites and the roads are tight, as I had trouble maneuvering my 27' trailer around some of the motorhomes that were sticking out on the road. I would stay at this campground again. We camped at Happy Holiday Resort in a Travel Trailer.

A nice state park with big sites and plenty of shad. Plenty of room between sites and easy to get in. Bathroom facilities were good. Good walking trails near the river. We also paid the additional $6 entrance fee to the park. Near shopping areas. We camped at Big Sioux Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Interstate RV Park, Davenport, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

A nice overnight campground right off the interstate. Staff was friendly. Sites were a bit small but certainly okay for overnight. Swimming pool was very good. We were able to borrow a DVD for free from their large library to watch a movie on our laptop. Yes, we would stay here again. We camped at Interstate RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
