This campground has the tightest sites we have ever seen - everyone is packed in like sardines. The office staff was friendly but they did not use good judgement in assigning a site for our 38' motorhome. We had to drive up a narrow, steep, paved road and at the top, make a greater than 90 degree turn. Tree limbs scraped our motorhome all the way up the hill, and had the site across from ours been occupied, we would have NEVER been able to get into our site. Worse, there is no way to turn around once you are at the top; the road does not continue in a loop, it just ends with fully occupied sites on both sides of the road. The sites are so small that cars and trucks line both sides of the road making it impossible for a large rig to turn around without access to an empty site. The only other option would be to back down the hill again! We have been backing into tight spots for years, but this one took us at least 30 minutes of maneuvering, and the aid of 4 other campers who saw our predicament. There may be some better sites for larger rigs at the bottom of the campground, but we definitely didn't have one of them. We would have appreciated being told that the campground was full and didn't have a site suitable for our size rig. Instead, they tried to fit us into a section of the park not designed for larger units. We will not be back to this park.

Our family of four from Florida camped at Harbor Hill for several weeks this summer, and we will definitely return on our next trip to NH. This was a great family campground, extremely clean and safe for our kids, ages 5 and 7. The owners and their children were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcomed right from the start. It was the perfect central location for our visit to NH. The campground is beautifully wooded with fire rings and picnic tables at every site. The sites are diversified and accommodate everything from tents to large rigs like our 38' motorhome. If you are looking for the campground to serve as a daycare for your kids all day and night, or a place to party all night long, then Harbor Hill may not be the place to go. But if you are searching for good old fashioned family camping in a clean, friendly, safe and courteous environment, and in a great lakes region location, then we give 5 stars to Harbor Hill Camping Area. We will most definitely be back!
