Amarillo KOA, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this place. Stayed overnight driving from CO back to Dallas. Store, bathhouse, pool was all very clean. Staff was super friendly, and loved the escort to our spot.

Yes there is a small airport on one side, and trains running on the other but with your AC on you do not hear them.

Will stay here again next year for same trip. We camped at Amarillo KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Silverton Lakes Campground, Silverton, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We had the same problem as the other couple that stayed July 2015. Park was packed and very difficult to maneuver RV and truck in. Luckily, on the morning we were leaving, the nice gentlemen across from us moved their trucks so we could pull out and leave. We have already reserved a more accessible camp spot for next year where we will not have this problem.

Staff was VERY nice. Location was great. Just outside of the main street. Made for a nice walk in the mornings. The roads to and from town were OHV friendly, so we could drive our UTV to the car wash and to the grocery store. They rent fire pits to you for very inexpensive, which was nice. They have 3 or 4 cabins that people without RV's can stay in.

We will be back next year but super happy we already chose and reserved our space. We camped at Silverton Lakes Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Murray State Park / Elephant Rock, Ardmore, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this park, and would stay here again. Restrooms were clean, park is clean, and the cement pads were a definite plus. We rode around to the other parks at Murray on our motorcycle, and would say this is the nicest park Murray has. We camped at Lake Murray State Park / Elephant Rock in a Travel Trailer.

Beaver Lake Hide A Way Campground & RV Park, Rogers, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the 2011 BBB rally. The cons of the park are that it is difficult to find, even with a GPS (may have been user error), the road to the park is winding for pulling an RV, the restrooms are not clean and kept running out of toilet paper, and there are not that many trees. Pros are the very friendly staff, the winding road was fun and nice on a motorcycle, the park is quite, and it is a short walk to a beautiful view of the lake! I would say we enjoyed it the most because there were a lot of nice roads to ride the motorcycle on around this campground, without having to go into Fayetteville. We will stay somewhere else for the rally next year but we did enjoy our stay here. We camped at Beaver Lake Hide A Way Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
