American Creek Campground, Chamberlain, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We thought this was a lovely park, had decent sized sites, with shade on most and lots of walking space. We were in a FHU site near shower house, surprisingly level and long enough for our 34 foot MH. During week it seemed like a fair number of W-E sites available near river. Weekends looked very busy. Walked to Lakota museum on very wide trail along busy street. We camped at American Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice restful park, not far from Interstate but quiet. Ask for shade, most sites have a tree nearby. Good dog walking areas, grass well maintained. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pin Oak Creek RV Park, Villa Ridge, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Lot of seasonal residents and associated amenities. We arrived during a rain storm, !ots of mud and standing water. First site was rain saturated, staff reluctantly moved us to a better site. Good dog walking area however no dog park. Sites were shady and back in some pull throughs but may be kept for seasonal renters. Laundry very clean and reasonable. We camped at Pin Oak Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA , Fort Collins, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Maiden trip new to us motorhome. Few issues easily resolved, fairly close to stores. Trail around lake is beautiful for walking dog and getting exercise. Dog park could be bigger, did not use for our dogs this time. Staff very friendly. Some industrial noise nearby but not at night. Good place for a get away, near city but not so near. Good size site 165. Wifi slow and cable fuzzy, needs some repair. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Motorhome.

Seal Rocks RV Cove, Seal Rock, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Site 20 has excellent sights of the ocean from your RV windows if you have rear and side windows. Tidal pools can be viewed at low tide by crossing 101 with path to road. Lots of distance to see cars and access to beach down a short set of steps. Bushes between sites are well manicured and provide a lot of privacy. New site 19 next door will also have good views. Sites are back-ins but have a large area to execute easy access. However, the left turn to exit tight for big rigs. Overall the park was a good base to explore that part of the Oregon coast. Good Sam discount would have reduced price, be sure to ask when you check in or make reservations. We camped at Seal Rocks RV Cove in a Fifth Wheel.

Cabela's RV Park & Campground, Sidney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived during attendant lunch break and encountered a problem getting info on site selection. Attendant needs to leave a after hours ticket at booth with customer name and site number. Otherwise, this is a good overnight park just outside the severe weather zone north of I-76. WiFi was very responsive, cable had a reasonable selection of channels. Good exercise walking around retail store and plenty of food within walking distance. Quiet even though I-80 is visible from park. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cripple Creek KOA, Cripple Creek, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very tight sites. Roads are pretty narrow for long rigs. Length of sites is okay if you don't unhook. Site assignments when the park is not busy do not consider leaving space between for fire pit use. TV is only one major network over the air. Satellite should be fine, there are no trees to block or shade. We camped at Cripple Creek KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites very tight, Wi-Fi didn't work well, talked to staff, they are working on Wi-Fi. Pretty park, not quite as complete as described on brochure, access to trail not from park. Time to downtown area a bit longer than advertised. We camped at Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA in a Motorhome.

Dixie Caverns Campground, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Lot of permanent RVs, some quite old and not well cared for. Lot of equipment sitting around; night manager office a mess. Use this only if you need a site near Roanoke. Keep your stay short as possible. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

If you have a big rig, chose the premium sites. The office staff, while friendly, does not know their park well. Tried to park a 34 foot fifth wheel in a pull through with a tree on one side blocking access and a sewer inlet on the other making pulling in impossible. Park clean and maintained. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.
