Skyline Ranch Resort, Front Royal, Virginia

This park is a real hidden gem. I stayed because of the location but will definitely drive way out of my way to return. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The park is very well maintained. We camped at Skyline Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in the area but don't miss the horseback riding at the park with little Bree leading the way. The town of Front Royal has an historic district with a walking tour. Two caverns close by; Luray and Skyline. Enjoy the Skyline Drive thru Shenandoah forest. Definitely do some horseback trail riding.

Thousand Trails Snowflower Resort, Emigrant Gap, California

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Wooded sites are extremely tight and unlevel. I tried one pull-through and gave up on trying to level. Stayed in a parking lot area they call "the cliffs". The rate reflects Thousand Trail membership. Great care should be taken with the address in any GPS. Strongly suggest you call for directions. I would not stay at this park again. We camped at Thousand Trails Snowflower Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Trail In RV Campground, Lakehead, California

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is Passport America. A nice quiet park with relatively easy access. Pull-through sites are long enough to leave my truck hooked up to the RV. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Trail In RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects Thousand Trail membership. The outdoor pool and Jacuzzi are spotless and worth the stay. The park address is wrong, the staff knows it and have been unable to correct it. The park is in the town of Sunriver, not Bend. This causes issues for anyone using GPS. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Fifth Wheel.

Mt Hood Village RV Resort, Welches, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects Thousand Trail membership. This is a nice park for families, less so for couples or singles traveling without kids. The children take over the pool and Jacuzzi and the families tend to continue playing late in the evening and early in the morning. The park is clean but I would try a different campground when next in the area. We camped at Mt Hood Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
