Collier-Seminole State Park, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at this park. It is only about a 40 minute drive from our house. The park in my opinion is rustic and very quiet at night. There is some road noise if you have a site on the north end of the CG. The bathroom was clean and the showers had good water pressure. We were there during snowbird season so there were a lot of out of state campers. I made my reservation about 10 months out as I know how hard it is to get a site during the winter. Weather was cool so the bugs were no problem. The boat ramp/ canoe launch is just a short drive or walk away. All the roads are one way so getting to the dump station is a little challenging as it is located on the road coming into the CG. This CG is very close to Marco Island with good places to go to eat. We will be returning at the end of April for a long weekend. Great place for us to relax and unwind. We camped at Collier-Seminole State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Koreshan State Historic Site, Estero, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Since the last review in Jan. 2016 Koreshan has gone thru some updates. There is new water and electric service on all the sites and it is at the front of the sites. Extra water hose may be needed to make your connection, ours was fine. Vegetation has been cut back to make the sites a bit more wider. We stayed with some friends in their motor home which had no slides. I will be bringing my 30ft TT in March and it has a slide on both sides. As I walked around checking out sites, I am confident if you have a slide on each side, you will have no difficulty using them. The CG is very dark at night so be sure you have plenty of lights. Restrooms and showers were clean and roomy. Looking forward to being at Koreshan again in March. We camped at Koreshan State Historic Site in a Motorhome.

W.P.Franklin North COE, Alva, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean and quiet campground. I can see why it is so hard to get into. We had site # 10 right on the peninsula and across from the bath house. There is no sewer here otherwise it would be a 10 rating. This is a relaxation place or a home base for those who want to explore the area. All but the pull through sites sit right on the Caloosahatchee River. We spent 3 nights here and will definitely stay here again since it is so close to home. We were in a 30 ft travel trailer and had plenty of room. We camped at W.P.Franklin North COE in a Travel Trailer.
