Lake City Campground & Resort, Lake City, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very easy to locate, check in and find your lot. It was a little tight parking and setting up. Tight spaces, but definitely doable. Picnic table was so close to our door we could barely get in and out of our unit and this is a one night stay so we are not moving picnic tables. Internet connection was awful. You could connect and it would drop signal, reconnect, drop, reconnect, drop....no signal at all for extended periods causing us to not even bother after several attempts at differing times. TV was clear and satisfactory. We hooked up with no problems. Dog area was okay. A fence at the dog area would be a bonus, but we were pleased to have a walking area. This was a quick in and out and my biggest problem is lack of ability to connect to the internet. This is an older park that is not set up well for the newer larger units. Roads are narrow but it's not impossible just use caution. I would stay again if I needed a one night stay but this would not be my choice for long term stays. We camped at Lake City Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

All About Relaxing RV Park, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Easy drive to the grounds. We were immediately led through the gate and assisted with parking. This is the Garden of Eden of campgrounds! It is so quaint and charming and definitely unexpected. Beautiful community areas with a grill and salt water swimming pool, dog park and bath. Everything was pristine and immaculate. Wifi is decent enough. We did not inquire about tv as this is an overnight stay, but truly I wish we could stay longer! Just lovely!! We camped at All About Relaxing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Katy Lake RV Resort, Katy, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

ZERO wifi unless you go to the clubhouse. TV was good. Park is very nice but seemed to have some sort of drainage problem but the park was attentive to draining standing water and such. People are extremely friendly. Dog facilities were amazing! My girls loved going to the dog park. There were as many as 6 dogs at a time there and they all had a blast!! We also used the dog wash and it was equally fantastic! The wifi is the only deal breaker for me. We camped at Katy Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

All pull through sites. Very muddy, but little can be done about excessive rain. Concrete pads, hookups, internet, antenna tv was good and we are about to receive a free complimentary breakfast! No real complaints. Easy in and easy out! Pet friendly with a chained in dog run. Great for my furbabies! We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Blazing Star RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

First of all, if you are using Garmin GPS to find this resort, enter this address into your GPS 910 W Loop 1604 N, San Antonio, TX. The RV resort is the first driveway once you pass this church on the right. This RV resort is extremely well maintained. We travel with three dogs and having the dog park was invaluable! The dogs loved it. Everything is pristine, you WILL be impressed. That being said, we work full time on the road and are sometimes in one place for almost a year. This did not work for us for that reason. Our lot 207 was poorly laid out for hookups. Our gray water drained UPHILL and was a mess to get to drain. Most are not like that, but check your hookups and if the drains are going uphill, I would seriously ask for another lot. The birds. OMG! I love birds, but the birds on this property are a bit much. They are extremely noisy and it was nice for about the first hour, but by the 6th day, they will be wearing on our nerves. They are very noisy and seem to never shut up. Our tree prevented us from extending out awning. They are very stringent about the rules. We need a little flexibility to accommodate a long stay. For instance, we build a temporary set of stairs which are not allowed here. My husband has a few tools that sit under our unit which are not allowed. All relatively meaningless if you are here for entertainment as most of their patrons are, but if you are a long term on-the-road worker, this information may be of greater importance. I truly have zero complaints and think very highly of this RV resort. I found the pads to be wide enough, each site has a table and a concrete patio which is a nice touch. Everything is clean, well maintained. Dog bags are provided throughout the park so there should never be any reason to NOT clean up after pets which everyone seems to do a very good job of doing. The water pressure was good and the water tasted good. Internet, it's pretty good, better than some worse than others. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

White's City RV Park, Whites City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is literally at the gateway for Carlsbad National Park == the caverns. It's easy to check in, hookup. One road in and one road out, but we had zero problems getting into/out of the park or hooking everything up. The internet worked good and the cable tv was okay and both are included. Lots of nice grassy areas if you are traveling with dogs (which we were). Very quiet park and extremely convenient if you are going to the caverns or to watch the bat flight at sunset. We would stay here again for sure. We camped at White's City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you arrive close to sunset, drive up to the Caverns to watch the bat flight. It is free and there are signs marking the bat flight location. It is a hike down and a hike back up so dress accordingly. ;)

Junction/North Llano River RV Park, Junction, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best campground we have ever stayed at and this includes Cherry Hill near DC! Amazing! First of all we travel with three dogs and we were welcomed here. It's not usually a problem, but you never know. The sites are pristine and so spacious. There is literally a lot OF GRASS in between every two spaces as well as a nice roomy patch of grass in between every two spaces on the backside as well. We had a Pergola, fire pit, two glider rockers, a convenience table between the gliders and a picnic table! The sites are mostly level, the hookups were as immaculate as the rest of the park. There's a river to peruse, swimming pool, nice little park for kiddos, cabins....etc., and so on. This is a fabulous oasis! Trees....come see. I can't imagine anyone would not like it. If you stop, turn right at the exit and stop by Lum's for barbeque. Oh my. So good! Fantastic! Thank you and I hope we get to return sometime!! We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have been here about 2 1/2 months and are leaving now, but we enjoyed our stay here very much and will surely return if we are in the area. Spacious lots with pristine hookups and excellent condition concrete patio at each and every space. The water pressure was great, internet mostly worked; however, there are times that it does not due to weather issues I would say. This facility has an indoor and an outdoor pool, exercise room, laundry room, showers. I mean, what more could you need? Our pets were readily accepted. We leave Albuquerque with fond memories and were grateful for our time here at this campground. Thank you! We camped at Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dickens RV Park, Moncure, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The owner is excellent and very accommodating. He is responsive to any problems/issues that may arise and has on-site propane available. This is a great park for the price and amenities. It is a no frills type of park, but the hookups are all new and in excellent condition. He has an on-site ATM, laundry, showers, trash and will let you do about anything you want to do within reason. If you have dogs, they are very welcome here along with kids, but there isn't much for kids to do here. The gravel sites isn't very appealing, but it works. I will stay here every time I am in the area. Love the owner's flexibility and accommodating nature. There is a pretty busy road at the entrance so best to keep your dogs on leash and your kids close! No shade. We camped at Dickens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a 5 star campground. Everything is in pristine condition. This campground has everything you could possibly need. Swimming, miniature golf, a cafe, laundry, showers, conference room, security, parks for the kids, walking trails, paved roads that are well marked with street signs. Internet. The water pressure was a little low, but it was great water! hookups were all in nice condition. I think all the sites have fire pit and picnic tables -- ours did. The sites were small, but we didn't find this to be a big problem. Finding a spot we could back into was a little more challenging since we arrived at night. Loved every minute of it and would definitely stay here again! Well worth the extra money in comparison to other campgrounds in the area. Internet worked 95% of the time. Generally, no problems connecting and staying connected. Regular TV was better than the cable because of the new HDTV. Class act all the way! We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Fifth Wheel.

D & W Lake Camping and RV Park, Champaign, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Everything in this campground is well maintained. We received mail twice a day. The owners run a tight ship here, but are easy to get along with as long as you aren't causing chaos. They live here and expect you to mind your manners while you are visiting which I really appreciated. I would stay here again for sure! This is a small campground, but there is a place to safely walk your dogs and it is a quiet and well behaved park! We camped at D & W Lake Camping and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

D & W Lake Camping and RV Park, Champaign, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

First of all, the owner here is very accommodating. We were in the midst of something that required us to receive an incredible amount of mail. Our mail was delivered twice a day: USPS mail in the am/UPS in the p.m.! He has internet available if you purchase, but he is limited to the amount of access which mean you will be too! Don't bother purchasing access if you plan on being online A LOT. If you are only checking email a few times a day, go for it, but if you want to pass the hours away playing games or otherwise engaged, don't bother. Very clean place. Everything was well maintained when we arrived: not a chip of paint anywhere! Utilities were new and in a well maintained condition! Pet friendly and there is a walk for your dogs just beyond a line of trees which was exceptionally nice! We would definitely stay again! We camped at D & W Lake Camping and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy Days Campground, West Bend, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The land was nice. We spent 6 weeks there and got to know things pretty well. Lots of shade trees. Roads are small for getting your rig in certain sites. Lots are not level at all. Hookups are practically dangerous! You can feel the power surges inside your unit from outdated hookups. No dumping, only a honey wagon twice a week. Sites are not marked well and very confusing to find an available site because of this. The lake is a nice feature. They have miniature golf for smaller children. Play equipment doesn't seem to be much. People are friendly and helpful. You will pay for everything there though. If you opt to shower, you pay .25 cent for 3 minutes or something like that. Overall, it "could" be nice, but needs some serious upgrades. I would not stay there again, unfortunately. We camped at Lazy Days Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

It is open year round. There are lots of permanet residents there. The dogs run free but are friendly. The trees infested with carpenter ants. There is only wifi by the office with no shade. We were there over the 4th and firecrackers were going off until about 3 a.m. We camped at Four Star Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
