Hawkeye Point Campground, Sibley, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We were the only RV. The only other person there was in a tent. No one was running the campground. It was self serve. Pleasantly rural and well cared for. Only electricity - both 30 and 50 amp available. We camped at Hawkeye Point Campground in a Motorhome.

Friendly people. Large open grass areas--very pretty. Mosquitoes bad...but it next to the Atchafalaya River basin :) Gravel entrance a little dusty and pad not level. They pick up your trash. Check in and out is 12:00 pm. We camped at Frenchman's Wilderness Campground in a Motorhome.

Sanger / Denton North KOA (formerly McClain's Camp Site), Sanger, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access off I-35. Long, cement pull through so we could keep our Jeep attached for the one night stay. Some larger open spaces around the perimeter which was nice for walking the dog. Small fishing pond, pool and rec room - non of which we used. Plenty of room for a large motorhome. We camped at Sanger / Denton North KOA (formerly McClain's Camp Site) in a Motorhome.

Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Most of the park has paved streets. Very attractive. There is a Put-Put golf course that is very nice. Friendly staff. We stayed 2 nights. You can put your trash out before 11 AM and they drive around picking it up quickly, so no mess. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lazy L&L Campground, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

On 10/24/11 the entrance sign clearly said: No Pets. But their website says: "Absolutely NO PETS allowed Apr-Sep. PETS are allowed in RVs from Oct-Mar in FHU Sites 134-187." Consequently, we did not stay here. We camped at Lazy L&L Campground in a Motorhome.

San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park, Highlands, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Our 41' couldn't make the turn to 1st space we were assigned because streets are too narrow. So we opted for a space on the end with a hot tub which was nice, but pricey. Nice level, cement pull through. People at office were helpful. Don't confuse "San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park" which is nicer and larger, with the smaller "River Front RV Park" which is just 1 or 2 miles (south) closer to I-10. We camped at San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Almost Heaven RV Resort (Closed), Manvel, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

There are narrow gravel pull through spaces with a cement patio. Soil had washed away from the cement patio leaving sharp cement corners: very bad for tires. It is mostly full timers. There is a small "lake" and sunset were pretty. After leaving main road (Hwy 288), roads getting to this park were narrow. We camped at Almost Heaven RV Resort (Closed) in a Motorhome.
