Gulf Coast RV Park, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of nice shade trees in this older campground. Staff very friendly and helpful. Laundry was clean and economical. Bathrooms very clean. Campsites need a little TLC. Our site had a rotting boardwalk to a shed. Our neighbors put their picnic table over the hole in their wood patio so they wouldn't fall in it. Back part of the campground seems to be a graveyard/storage for campers and other things with wheels. Roads are little tight. For the price---it was a fine place to camp. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Foscue Creek COE, Demopolis, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Full hook COE! Our site was terraced and on the water. Picnic table and camper on one level and fire pit on the lower level. Beautiful. Lots of places to ride bikes around the campground. Very friendly and competent staff. The campsite was spotless and raked when we moved in. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay when visiting Mammoth and other caves in the area. Good free internet. This is a newer campground. It was well thought out with wide roads, all sites full hookup, level and pull through. Easy in and out. There are workout equipment and a pool table. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Shipshewana Campground North Park, Shipshewana, Indiana

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with lots of pine trees. (several that need trimming!). This is a good place to stay when visiting Shipshewana. We have stayed here before and will stay here again. Sprint cell service is iffy, ATT ok. Free wi-fi is super (but there were very few campers here this early in the season). Our site was a little short--couldn't get both the 30' 5th wheel and the truck on gravel without sticking out in the street. We camped at Shipshewana Campground North Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crawford RV Park, Scottsboro, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

If you are looking for a site in Scottsboro with great wi-fi, cable, full hook-up and good water pressure, this is the place for you. This is not a destination campground, but ok for a day or two. No picnic table or much ambiance. All other reviews are correct, except there are now several trailers that will never move again (one with the slide falling off) and cars moldering into the ground. If these were removed it would improve the view out the window. Be sure to call ahead and try to get one of the pull through sites. We camped at Crawford RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort), Lebanon, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I think this park had gotten a bad rap. It is really quite nice. We had a fairly level pull-through site with a sturdy picnic table. There was plenty of room between the sites, although since the sites are terraced, there was not a lot of room for lawn chairs. It is better than many KOAs we have stayed in. There were lots of staff working very hard to clean up the grounds and install many plantings. When you first pull in you do see some permanent campers and the storage lot is right behind the office, but all the transients are in one section and the long-termers are at the back of the campground. It is very conveniently located to tour most attractions, yet in the country. Great staff. We camped at Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort) in a Motorhome.

Leisure Days RV Resort (55+ Park), Zephyrhills, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is basically a manufactured home community with spaces for RVs where older models have been pulled out. We were given a patch of grass with a full hook-up very close to a permanent park model. We were so close to the road that when trucks went by, our RV shook! Park is very clean, staff and residents are friendly. Nice pool. No picnic table furnished, but internet was free and strong. We camped at Leisure Days RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Clearwater Travel Resort, Clearwater, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is close to the beaches and is very well kept. Our site was large and included a concrete pad and picnic table. There are some permanent residents in single wide park models, but more transients. Nice pool. Very good, free internet. Biggest eyesore is the RV storage lot, right in the middle of the park with no fencing. Staff and residents are friendly. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs, Silver Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We come here often. If you haven't been here in a couple years, you need to check it out. New owners have fixed the hot tub and resurfaced the crumbling pool deck. Restrooms are repainted and very clean. New internet is strong and fast. Lots of the little things that had been run down are now fixed. Cell service iffy. Our rate reflects PA. The only reason the rating is not higher: is that they do not furnish a picnic table. We camped at Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs in a Travel Trailer.

St Ignace / Mackinac Island KOA, St Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean campground close to town. Older facilities, but well kept. You can see the lake from some of the sites. Friendly staff. Gave it a low rating because we came here specifically for the Wi-Fi and it didn't work. They didn't give the code at check-in so had to call contact number because office was closed. Could sign in, but signal so low it was unusable. Rate reflects Passport America discount. We camped at St Ignace / Mackinac Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice quiet place as a base for sightseeing. Not a destination site. Great Wi-Fi and Cable. Close to town and easy drive to Porcupine Mts, Victoria and other interesting places. Staff friendly. OK Sprint service. We camped at River Road RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs, Silver Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We have been coming here off and on for about 6 years. There have been lots of improvements in sites. They are more level and some have concrete pads. But other facilities are getting run down; especially, the unheated pool and hot tub for the transient guests. Both were full of leaves and concrete is crumbling. The chairs and tables are wearing out and broken. Hot tub was so noisy when turned on that we just sat in the warm water. Worst of all is the lack of consistent and strong internet or cell service. Verizon works, I heard. ATT and Sprint don't so my Sprint internet didn't work either. We will probably come back, but a nice pool and internet would be welcomed. We camped at Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Trimble Park - Orange County, Mount Dora, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park. Our site was right on the lake and had a brick patio. Even though it only had 15 campsites, still wasn't full. Close to Mr. Dora and area attractions. Nice place and will return. It is one of the three Orange County Parks that accepts pets. Good Sprint cell service. I'll go back. We camped at Trimble Park - Orange County in a Travel Trailer.

Lithia Springs Park, Lithia, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very large, secluded campsites, lot of trees. Many not level and hard to get into. Electric and water at most sites are by the road and you will need very long hoses and electric lines. Restrooms a long way from all campsites and lots of traffic bumps on all park roads. That and the fact that almost all roads are one way, makes for difficult travel in and out or around campground. The springs are beautiful to swim in. Good Sprint cell service. We camped at Lithia Springs Park in a Travel Trailer.

E.G. Simmons Regional Park, Ruskin, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice large fairly level sites. For the most part grassy. Many sites along channel leading to Tampa Bay. Good Sprint service and local TV. Very clean. Close to lots of attractions, yet in the country. Not at all crowded. Only reason this gets a low rating are the bugs. Big bugs, swarming bugs, itty bitty biting bugs. Mosquitoes and no-see-ums left me covered with welts and miserable. Only way to see campground or beach was to go in car with windows up or very fast on a bike. Spent most of the time in the trailer. We camped at E.G. Simmons Regional Park in a Travel Trailer.
