Desert Willow RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Level gravel pull-thru FHU sites. Good water. Park has wifi and cable included in rate, but we didn't use it, used our own. Very clean, friendly staff. Would definitely stop here for an overnight or few days of rest again. We camped at Desert Willow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Four Aces Highway 82 RV Park, Whitesboro, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Called the night before we wanted to come to see if space available. Owner was very pleasant, told us which site to take when we got there . No office, but owner lives across the street and will come at a moment's notice if there is a problem. Park is stone surface, mostly level with FHU. Easy in and out and 4 pull-thrus that can handle the big rigs. All utilities worked well. They have a storm shelter on site which is a "plus" during tornado season. We camped at Four Aces Highway 82 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Reynolds Park, Paragould, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

A community park that is used by many of it's residents. We stayed here 9 days waiting for cooler weather before moving further south. There are ducks and geese that wander around, but they didn't bother the camp sites or the campers.

To register and pay you must go to the community center. They then give you keys to access the electric hookups, water, dump station and showers. See the city website for details.

We would stay here again. We camped at Reynolds Park in a Motorhome.

Victoria City Park, Victoria, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Full hook-up pull-thru sites with generous space between sites. There is a paved walking/biking path on the other side of the canal/creek that can be accessed from the city street at each end. Peaceful and quiet, very little traffic noise for a city this size. We do occasionally hear a train a few blocks away. You are allowed 30 days in any 6 month period. We will stay again. We camped at Victoria City Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Drop box at entrance with envelopes for payment. They do ask that you pay on a daily basis even if you are staying longer. There is also a trash dumpster in that area , so away from the campsites.

The RV Park of Henderson, Henderson, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a couple of nights using the Passport America rate of $12.50. It is sparse, but clean. Sites are all back-in and not really level, but you can level. Owner was very nice. The park is on the outskirts of Henderson, but there was some traffic noise on our weekend stay. Nothing that would disrupt your sleep. The park itself was quiet and peaceful. We camped at The RV Park of Henderson in a Motorhome.

Whitney Lane RV Park, Kensett, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a couple of days in a pull-thru mostly level site. Sites are side by side hookups, so you are close to your neighbor with space between the pairs on the other side. Laundry facilities with 4 washers/4 dryers at a very reasonable price. Owner came right over when we arrived and called, and was very nice. Quiet park and we slept well. We would stay here again. We camped at Whitney Lane RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sonny's RV Park, Lexington, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Just ok for an overnight stop. Drives were dirt filled with potholes and no signage indicating which way to go, or where the office is. Our pull-thru site looked like a drive and was on dirt with a small cement patio, picnic table and a trash can at the site. Would stop again if nothing else and too tired to go on, but the $25 per night is too high for the surroundings and condition of the premises. We camped at Sonny's RV Park in a Motorhome.

AAA RV Park, Union City, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We are full-timers and on the road. Pulled into Union City and planned on staying at this park. The park was full except for 1 site. Looked to be full of people living there. It is basically a parking lot, but would have been fine for an overnight stay. The 1 open site was already booked. This is the first time in 4 1/2 years of full-timing that we have ever stopped somewhere that had no site available. I wouldn't recommend stopping here unless you call ahead and reserve "if" there is anything available. We camped at AAA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Heritage Acres RV Park, Tuscumbia, Alabama

Clean park but all on gravel. We were on a pull through site with plenty of room. Good park to stop at when traveling, but not a destination park. We camped at Heritage Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

LBL Whispering Pines, Dover, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Planned on staying. Pulled into entrance and barely made it between two trees on drive. Stopped at office, no one in. There was a bell to ring for service, rang it, waited 10 minutes, no one came. There were no sites visible that a 36' motorhome could park on. Decided to leave, almost scraped sides of motorhome on trees on semicircular drive to get out. Still saw nothing big enough for our motorhome. Would not recommend that big rigs attempt to stay at this park. We camped at LBL Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.

Lithia Springs COE, Shelbyville, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park but waterfront sites are few and taken by 4pm check-in time on Fri. Very tight turn around on 1 loop but were advised not to even go on other loop with 36' motorhome because we would not be able to turn around. No assigned sites, you drive through and find a site you want and then go back to report what site and pay. We had a back-in site that was adequate. Cement picnic tables at each site. Would not recommend this park for large rigs if you are looking for a waterfront site. Most were small sites. We camped at Lithia Springs COE in a Motorhome.

Caboose Lake Campground, Remington, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with laundry facilities that are clean and well kept, however it is immediately next to a major truck route to Chicago and other large cities. The noise from the semi's was so loud it sounded like rolling thunder outside your door day and night. There is also a metal arch to drive under at the entrance that was just wide enough for our motorhome. A wide body model would not fit through. I would give this park a much higher rating if it was not located where it is. We camped at Caboose Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Birdsville Resort and Campground (CLOSED), Smithland, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with riverfront sites on the Ohio River. We stayed for 1 week. We enjoyed watching the tugs and barges going up and down the river. We had nice weather, but it seemed quite breezy most times. Our site was under a security light so very bright at night. Try to avoid a site under the 2 or 3 lights. Riverfront utilities are side by side connections so you will have a close neighbor. We camped at Birdsville Resort and Campground (CLOSED) in a Motorhome.
