LoW-Hi RV Ranch, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel roads and sites, pull-thru for easy in and out. All utilities worked well. Fenced area for big or small dogs and a small section of grass in the little dog area. Our dog really appreciated seeing that grass after several months of desert only locations. Nice little rec building, friendly campers and workers. Clean neat park, we would stay here again. We camped at LoW-Hi RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We specifically chose a park outside of town because of the comments about train and highway noise at the parks in town. It was quiet and peaceful and not far from town. Deming has anything you should need including a Walmart.

Wild West Ranch and RV Resort (formerly John Wayne RV Ranch), Maricopa, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Rate shown is based on a monthly rate of $400 and add to that $81 of electricity. We picked this park partly based on prior comments regarding cookouts, firepit etc. The rec bldg was locked, the fire ring didnt have any wood for burning and there are cement benches for seating. There were no activities. The laundry room always had multiple machines not working. It was marginally clean. About 2X per day there was an overwhelming smell from the feed lots down the road. You don't want to be outside or have your windows open. At other times, there was no odor. When checkedout (Sat) worker advised that only owner or mgr could refund amount left from deposit and they would "send" my refund to me. I insisted I wanted it then as their website indicated immediate refund, so worker had ME call owner who authorized cash refund. Refund was either figured incorrectly, or there were additional charges not disclosed as I had beginning and ending meter reading and was charged more than I should have been. We would not return as there are much better parks with amenities for $400 mo. This rate is too high for what is here. We camped at Wild West Ranch and RV Resort (formerly John Wayne RV Ranch) in a Motorhome.

The nearest shopping is in Maricopa about 15 miles away, or Casa Grande which is about 20-25 miles away. There is nothing nearby. There is a casino on the south side of Maricopa.

Southern Mesa RV Park, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $7.00
Overall Rating:

Park is about 8 miles south of Yuma and Ave 3E. It can be noisy from traffic. The park boasts large back-in sites, and for the area that may be true, but we had just enough room for out 36' motorhome. You have to back in next to a cement patio which can be difficult if the sites next to you or across from you are already occupied. The person next to us had their RV offset 4' from their patio which actually took 4' of our area. We had to park our toad parallel in front of the motorhome. The office workers were nice, but didn't seem to know what was going on, what sites were available, or when reserving again if your deposit was for a specific site, or just a site. You may keep the monthly first time special for as long as you stay, so overall a good price even with the noise and distance from services. Water is not good, plan on supplying your own drinking and cooking water. It's very salty/slimy almost. Didn't go in the pool, but looked clean, laundry room didn't have enough machines for the number of people in the park. It was not air conditioned, so hot! and seemed one or two always broken, even though they fixed problems as soon as possible. All in all with a good rate, we would stay here again (at a different site) and not for the entire winter season. Sand burrs at the back of the RV sites so watch out for them in any sandy areas. We camped at Southern Mesa RV Park in a Motorhome.

RoVer's Roost - Escapees Park - 55+park (members only), Casa Grande, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

We, as new Escapee members wanted to try out an Escapee Co-op park, and since this was on our way to our next reserved campground, we came for a night. We boondocked for the night and also got "some" propane. Their supply was low and motorhomes were being limited to just a few gallons. Because we are a big rig pulling a trailer and have our Jeep with us, there were really no sites that we could fit without unhooking the trailer and jockeying things around. For that reason, we would only use this park to boondock in the future. Tight right turn to get into the park. The limited people we met all seemed nice. The pet walk area outside the park walls is not good for after dark. It is not lit. There was some cattle smell after dark from a cattle lot down the road. Not horrible, but noticeable. We camped at RoVer's Roost - Escapees Park - 55+park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Cattlerest RV Park and Saloon, Willcox, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a pleasant break from traveling. Friendly, peaceful and our type of place. No pressure to be out at a certain time. Small saloon on property . We had a pull-thru site easy access in and out. Level and good utilities. We would stay for a few days next time - great place to relax. We camped at Cattlerest RV Park and Saloon in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Level gravel pull-thru FHU sites. Good water. Park has wifi and cable included in rate, but we didn't use it, used our own. Very clean, friendly staff. Would definitely stop here for an overnight or few days of rest again. We camped at Desert Willow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Four Aces Highway 82 RV Park, Whitesboro, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Called the night before we wanted to come to see if space available. Owner was very pleasant, told us which site to take when we got there . No office, but owner lives across the street and will come at a moment's notice if there is a problem. Park is stone surface, mostly level with FHU. Easy in and out and 4 pull-thrus that can handle the big rigs. All utilities worked well. They have a storm shelter on site which is a "plus" during tornado season. We camped at Four Aces Highway 82 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Reynolds Park, Paragould, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

A community park that is used by many of it's residents. We stayed here 9 days waiting for cooler weather before moving further south. There are ducks and geese that wander around, but they didn't bother the camp sites or the campers.

To register and pay you must go to the community center. They then give you keys to access the electric hookups, water, dump station and showers. See the city website for details.

We would stay here again. We camped at Reynolds Park in a Motorhome.

Victoria City Park, Victoria, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Full hook-up pull-thru sites with generous space between sites. There is a paved walking/biking path on the other side of the canal/creek that can be accessed from the city street at each end. Peaceful and quiet, very little traffic noise for a city this size. We do occasionally hear a train a few blocks away. You are allowed 30 days in any 6 month period. We will stay again. We camped at Victoria City Park in a Motorhome.

Drop box at entrance with envelopes for payment. They do ask that you pay on a daily basis even if you are staying longer. There is also a trash dumpster in that area , so away from the campsites.

The RV Park of Henderson, Henderson, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a couple of nights using the Passport America rate of $12.50. It is sparse, but clean. Sites are all back-in and not really level, but you can level. Owner was very nice. The park is on the outskirts of Henderson, but there was some traffic noise on our weekend stay. Nothing that would disrupt your sleep. The park itself was quiet and peaceful. Whitney Lane RV Park, Kensett, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a couple of days in a pull-thru mostly level site. Sites are side by side hookups, so you are close to your neighbor with space between the pairs on the other side. Laundry facilities with 4 washers/4 dryers at a very reasonable price. Owner came right over when we arrived and called, and was very nice. Quiet park and we slept well. We would stay here again. Sonny's RV Park, Lexington, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Just ok for an overnight stop. Drives were dirt filled with potholes and no signage indicating which way to go, or where the office is. Our pull-thru site looked like a drive and was on dirt with a small cement patio, picnic table and a trash can at the site. Would stop again if nothing else and too tired to go on, but the $25 per night is too high for the surroundings and condition of the premises. We camped at Sonny's RV Park in a Motorhome.

AAA RV Park, Union City, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We are full-timers and on the road. Pulled into Union City and planned on staying at this park. The park was full except for 1 site. Looked to be full of people living there. It is basically a parking lot, but would have been fine for an overnight stay. The 1 open site was already booked. This is the first time in 4 1/2 years of full-timing that we have ever stopped somewhere that had no site available. I wouldn't recommend stopping here unless you call ahead and reserve "if" there is anything available. We camped at AAA RV Park in a Motorhome.
