Very neat park with every RV on a concrete pad around a fishing pond.

Very pretty with lots of trees around a pond. Sites were mainly gravel and sand so not completely level. Easy to find off I-10.

Hammondell is mainly for permanent and snowbirds with about 40 spots for short term stays. We stayed for a month so the daily rate was very low, but had an electric bill of about $40 at the end of the month.

Our cost was based on staying for a complete week. Although most of the park are permanent and snow birds, it was still a very friendly place. The owners were caring office staff. Internet was available only in the club house which was a slight draw back. The park is on the banks of a lake which was a great place to watch sunsets.

This park is directly on the McKenzie River, we could see and hear the river from our site. Most of the park are seasonal or permanent people. However the 2 rows closest to the River are for short stays. We were in a clear site that allowed us to use our satellite TV. WiFi was slow but strong and steady except for the Saturday when the park was totally full. The office staff was friendly and helpful. Hours after the office closed we knocked on their RV door to buy some firewood. The bathroom was small and old, but very clean and warm. the laundry was inexpensive with new machines. There is a nice 'living room' with movies, big screen TV and a jigsaw puzzle table.

I could not give this Park a '10' because of the WiFi. Provided by a satellite connection, it was weak and unreliable. I never used the WiFi without being knocked off at least once each session. Since the Park provides cable TV, a more reliable internet connection should have been available. Otherwise the park is great. There is a path directly to a wide beach. The office staff is both friendly and helpful. The bath house has 6 complete bathrooms - 2 with tubs. There are 2 large open areas so children have plenty of room to play.

This park is a big parking lot with few trees and little grass. The spots are short but wide. Big rigs just barely fit. I think most people come for the fishing season as I saw many boats parked next to RV's. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The showers were old, but very clean with plenty of hot water. The WiFi was slow, but not terrible. The park is next to the California Coastal Trail so it is great for walking or biking.

This is a very family friendly park with a playground, mini-golf, tether ball and soon there will be a basketball goal. It is a little expensive for just an overnight spot, but for a longer stay with children it is perfect. I have one quibble with the bathrooms. The lights are on a motion sensor so pick the shower near the window if no one else is moving around in the room. I had the lights turn off while I was in the shower.

The only reason I did not give this Park a '10' is that the cable TV is not working properly. Because of the nice shade trees, we could not use our satellite for TV reception. The pool was a good warm temperature, very nice to swim in. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water for the showers. We would definitely stop here again when in the area.

This park was a delight. The clerk who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The WiFi was free and strong: I was never kicked off while checking e-mail. We could not receive a satellite signal for our TV, but the park provided free cable with 19 stations. We do not have a pet, but saw that the dog lot was a large, grassy fenced in area with even a shady place for owners to sit and visit while their pets played. The published prices showed that the laundry was a bargain.

There were two reasons why we gave the park a low rating. The WiFi was based on satellite service so it was slow and spotty. In desperation to check out e-mail we stood under the router to connect and had to type standing up. The advertised pool was there and full of water but the water was green and the gate was padlocked. I have never seen a dirtier pool. The owner was very friendly, but we felt the Park was not a good value for the price. We were able to use our satellite and pick up TV.

Wonderful bathroom facilities - big, new, clean with large shower stalls which have plenty of hooks to keep clothes dry. Laundry facilities were air conditioned, spacious and quick - a load of wash ($2.50) finished in less than 30 minutes. Dryers cost $2.00 per load.

This is a good place to spend a night while traveling on I-40 or Old route 66. A lot of the park are quiet long term permanent residents. Some of the sites are not level so be careful which one you get. The showers are big, beautiful and designed to give almost no privacy. There were NO hooks for any clothes or toiletries that I could reach in the Ladies Bathroom. also the Restrooms are used by the restaurant which might cause some problems in the evening.

Very friendly office staff. Nice quiet atmosphere with an Old Route 66 charm. One of the worst WiFi set ups we encountered on this trip. We had a hard time connecting and were often kicked off. This was a park in the desert climate so there was little shade or landscaping, but it was clean and neat. The pool and bath house were both clean.

The park is great - quiet, shady but still able to use our satellite connection. There are 2 problems which keep it from a 10. The driveway is not well marked so you really have to hunt for the entrance. The washers and dryers are in the bath room so there are no hanging racks, chairs or folding tables.
