Shenandoah Crossing Resort, Gordonsville, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. The sites are all concrete with outdoor sinks and gas grill. CATV is good. WIFI was spotty. There was hardly anyone in the campground. Very quiet. Free washer and dryers! We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Might want to bring a golf cart. The resort is spread out over several acres.

Small Country Campground, Louisa, Virginia

Overall Rating:

The campground is an older campground. The sites are close together. Wifi was ok. Cable TV was a little fuzzy. Kids really enjoyed swimming in the lake. We camped at Small Country Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Circle M-Outdoor World, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

The is a typical Outdoor World. Not well taken care of. A lot of permanent sites which didn't leave much choices of sites to pick from. Probably would not return to Circle M. We camped at Circle M-Outdoor World in a Travel Trailer.

Cozy Acres Campground, Powhatan, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We decided to go here on the way to our river rafting trip. I'm glad we did! We have found another beautiful campground. The campground doesn't offer a lot of activities for the kids. However if you want a place to sit back and read a book, this is it. We arrived on a Saturday. There were a few campers there. Sunday came and most of the left. We had the whole campground to ourself. There was probably only 10 campers there. We will go back again. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA, Staunton, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Upon arrival with the group I was camping with, I went to my assigned campsite. The site was so small, I couldn't even open my awning because of a tree approximately 5 feet away. The sewer connection was more than 50 feet away and the picnic table was by a storm drain. I called the office about moving and the first thing I heard was, "There might be an additional charge." I went to the office to talk to the manager about the site. The manager so was arrogant and rude. I explained that the site was just to small for my travel trailer. His comment to me was that I should have made my reservation earlier. I told him that I made my reservation in May. I also explained that the sewer connection was more than 50 feet away. He then stated he would have brought me some more sewer hose. After talking to for about 10 minutes, I had to just walk away. I had been camping all over the country and have never met a staff member so rude! It is a shame because the campground amenities were nice. To say the least, neither I or the parties in my group will ever stay here again. We camped at Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA in a Travel Trailer.
