Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground! Loved the private bathrooms although they will need replacing soon. They are definitely showing their age. In fact, that's the only reason I can't give this place a "10." Shortly after being cleaned, the bathrooms would have a strong urine smell which I'm pretty sure was due to their age. You can only get them so clean. Really liked having on-site laundry and a dishwashing station/sink (and loved that it was outside!). The common area with the view is very nice. We stayed on a site without a view. We liked that the non-view sites were more private and shady, but it would have been nice to have that view! Very quiet, all pet owners were very respectful, helpful staff, overall fantastic campground. Can't wait to go back! We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Tent Trailer.

Myrtle Beach State Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful campground! Nice wooded sites just a quick walk to the beach. Clean bathhouses and showers with hot water - not lukewarm water like other state parks I've camped in, but nice hot water. Friendly staff and volunteers, a camp store that stays open late enough to be useful, and all a short drive from grocery stores and entertainment. Can't wait to camp here again! We camped at Myrtle Beach State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Falls Lake SRA / Holly Point Campground, Wake Forest, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground. Nice level sites. Clean bathhouses. If you go during the week there is a great deal of airplane noise - this campground is right under a frequently used flight path - I would say an airplane would fly over low and loud about every 20 minutes. Less air traffic on the weekend. We camped at Falls Lake SRA / Holly Point Campground in a Tent Trailer.
