Fredericksburg RV Park, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

campground very neat, clean. Pulled in after office hours and clear instructions on sites available. Wifi decent. Site gravel and fairly level, paved interior roads. Even in January was unable to stay for the amount of time we wanted so had to relocate to a different CG. Lots of long term guests. We camped at Fredericksburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Askew's Landing Campground, Edwards, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Rough paved road leading to campground and hard pack sand/gravel in CG. Large pull thru site but overnighters located in a low area that was grass, probably would be bad in rainy weather. Cash or check only and no discount. Overnight stay ok but wouldn't choose this CG unless interested in the lake or fishing. We camped at Askew's Landing Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sand Dunes Swimming Pool & RV Park, Hooper, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice hot springs and pool, an oasis in the high desert. Sites very long but not very wide. Big firepits, some fairly close to your neighbors camper, vehicle. Odd setup; if all sites are occupied, you have to go in the exit to get to the front of your site. Half the sites share same water hookup as neighbor so you run your hose under your rig. Big wide open, beautiful views. Wifi sporadically ok. All pull thrus. We camped at Sand Dunes Swimming Pool & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Page Lake Powell Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Paid the monthly rate, electricity over $35 is extra. Park was clean, quiet and fairly scenic. If you are a monthly, you go through a background check with local police. I found this reassuring from a safety standpoint, but of course day campers do not do this. This is about the only place to stay unless you pay a much higher rate at Wahweap or dry camp in the desert. Sites are fairly large. We camped at Page Lake Powell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Mead RV Village, Boulder City, Nevada

Date of Stay: January, 2008 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This reflects a monthly rate. First month was $645, second was $625. My issue with this is that their website shows $545 as monthly. When questioned about the difference, office replied that they had nothing to do with the website info, but the memoed sheet they gave me had the same rates! Aside from that, the park was very pleasant and a great camping location. I was in the long term spots and thus had a very roomy site, although not much of a view of the lake, but you get what you pay for! Lots of coyote (keep a REAL close eye on your pets! The coyote are very bold), and desert quail. Lake and surrounding area are just beautiful, and quiet. Would definitely camp there again. I found the office staff to be friendly and helpful We camped at Lake Mead RV Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Canyon Motel & RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Park looked to be well maintained. There is still no bathhouse but not a concern for me. It was very cold which made unhooking water lines nightly a necessity. My site was level with lots of room at a row end. But there were never more than 3 campers while I was here (9 days)and the office kept assigning spots where the few campers here were right next to each other and the whole rest of the park was empty! It is nice to have a little more breathing space in the off seasons than that. WiFi worked great. Pool was shut down for season. Overall, nice park We camped at Canyon Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice facility with great views. I was on an end site but the interior sites would be view restricted. Easy in and out and adequate room for my 65 foot triple tow rig. But the park was almost empty so I'm sure getting around would be a lot more difficult in busier times. Staff friendly and helpful, good walk area. Everything clean and orderly. Owners in the process of leveling up some sites. I had no problems with mine. WiFi OK but somewhat slow We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

New bathhouse is almost elegant for a campground. Construction on another bathhouse and office is unsightly but expansion/renewal usually is! Lots and lots to do in the park and area. Park is definitely a favorite among locals. Fees are high but campsites are 2 or 3 times larger and more private than private campgrounds and surroundings are very beautiful. Saw lots of deer and birds. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Cherry Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Raton Pass Camp and Cafe (Formerly Cedar Rail), Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very very clean campground. Excellent views at campground since it is at the Raton pass at nearly 8000 feet. Friendly staff with escort to site. Most of the campers were overnighters...shame since there is several days worth of activity in the area. We camped at Raton Pass Camp and Cafe (Formerly Cedar Rail) in a Fifth Wheel.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Negatives: close to I-40 so expect road noise. Very dusty...had 25 - 35 MPH wind for 2 days so lots of blowing grit. Lots of traffic in and out as this is a good overnighter for I-40 travel. Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff. Worked with Passport America, Good Sam's and weekly rate to get me a good price. Clean and nice laundry room, small store, pool table, etc. Pool not yet open. Nice view of Sandia Mtns. to the east. Long, wide pull thrus and good amount of trees for the area. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort, Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Low rate reflects Passport America. Well, I travel full time (2 1/2 years) and this is one of the nicer places I have been. Most sites spacious, no problem for most big rigs to maneuver around, all surface area small gravel ('swept' daily to prevent holes), MOST excellent WIFI free service. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds were landscaped (desert style of course) and very neat and clean. Evening social hour outside or in the campground lounge. Would definitely stay again. This one earns my first '10' rating. We camped at Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rose Valley RV Ranch, Silver City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Would have rated this campground a 9 if it weren't for the wi-fi problems the entire week I was there. Spoke with office personnel 3 times and nothing was resolved. I had even called ahead of time before making a reservation to be SURE that they had wi-fi and was positively assured that it was so. Well maybe they had it but there were problems...no access most of the time and other campers had the same problems so no user error here! Otherwise, it was a nice park with very large sites, interesting surroundings, clean and tidy. Dusty road to get in. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Western Sky's RV Park, Vado, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

You definitely know which way the winds blows here! If it is blowing from anything near the south, southwest, or southeast; you get the full flavorful aroma of your future steak as they walk and live. The cattle farm on the south side of I-10 is incredibly huge. There are still a lot of full time residents in poor condition RVs but the areas are kept fairly neat and tidy. The worse problem with them is the very speedy traffic in the park, which also raises a lot of the abundant dust. This park is OK for a night or two but not much more. The WiFi worked very well and the mountain views wonderful. We camped at Western Sky's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain View RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Used Passport America for the great price. Park is right off I-10 so expect some noise but the surrounding mountain beauty more than made up for the traffic! Extra large sites allowed my 58 foot rig to park and get in and out with no problems. Extra wide roads, nice small gravel surface and level sites made this a nice camp. Mostly passing through type one night travelers. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Leisure Camp & RV Park, Fentress, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Used Passport America. As before mentioned, the access road is rough and dirty but thankfully short. I camped during a non busy time of year and had plenty of room but would have been unhappy with the campsite width if the park were full. The grounds are well kept, staff is very friendly and helpful. It is much nicer that many of the other RV parks in the area that have no trees and no view. We camped at Leisure Camp & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
