I have to echo the comments of the previous person who camped here last month. There are 4 dogs running loose and they all come running, barking when we take our 7-month-old puppy out on a leash. I called the office and she acted like it was such a surprise and said she would get Maintenance to check on it. Dogs are still loose. The park has cable hookups, but they don't work--confirmed by office. Our site is adequate for our 40' RV and Freightliner truck & didn't have to unhook, that is the important thing.

The value for the price is good . . . no real "amenities" except the Mississippi River--you absolutely cannot be parked any closer to the River than you are here. Just be aware of the water level in the Spring and the chance of muddy conditions.

This is a perfect overnight stop, OR LONGER, place to camp! The rates are reasonable b/c you are not paying for a pool, laundry, etc. However, they have some very nice pull-thru sites and a pavilion, horseshoe pits and most amicable owner. Over the past 15 years we have been here on group camp outs and for overnight stays. It is very well maintained.

It was refreshing to learn upon arrival that this park has a new owner and assistants who are so much more friendly and pleasant than in the past. Also, they are upgrading the park . . . a nice small park just like we like. This is our 13th year of full-timing. Want to recommend this park to anyone passing by on I-55 or staying in this area for awhile.

In our 13 years of full-timing I know that all private parks have their own unique rules, but arriving at this park imparts a very negative feeling. We've stayed here before and knew there were lots of "rules" and "signs," but now with new management, it's even worse. When I said we had never had to pay extra for an extra vehicle (we have a 5th wheel, Freightliner, and I follow in a Jeep) the new owner said "we're not a parking lot." They scanned my driver's license into their computer . . . also a first. The cheapest site, other than tent camping, is $39.95, less Good Sam discount of $3.95, plus $5 extra vehicle, total $41 for one night. Not to mention that the clerk was required to READ the rules to me and verify that I understood. If not for the fact that we're here to visit family we would not be here and, we've now declared that we will NOT stay here again.

A nice laid-back, quiet park with only 40 total sites. The owners are super nice and what a great "retreat" it is, you're close enough to Gulf Shores and lots of restaurants. You're not paying for a pool, but there are two large ponds.

We love this park as it's not too big nor too small and people are friendly. We usually stay a month. The recent addition of park models takes away some of the ambiance.
