New Life RV Park, Georgetown, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The rating is based totally on customer service. We called a full week ahead to reserve a spot for a two- night stay. The person taking our reservation didn't ask for a credit card to confirm it, but that's not totally uncommon. Upon arrival, however, we were told that we did NOT have a reservation and they could not accommodate us. The person in the office asked when we had called to make our reservation. We showed him the record of the call on our cell phone and his response was simply, "Well, I wasn't working that day". No apology or attempt to help us at all. So if you call to reserve make certain you get a reservation number, the name of the person and any other assurance that you will indeed have a place to park your rig! We camped at New Life RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great place to stop if you're traveling in the part of Texas. Don't expect lush green grass however, it is west Texas after all. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Roadrunner Cafe on site was excellent! We had the chicken fried steak and grilled catfish. Both were delicious!! Drive into town and visit the Grey Mule Saloon wine tasting bar. Very pleasant.

Camp-Journey's End, Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far the worst campground we have ever stayed at. Our first clue should have been the pool with green scum floating in it. Next clue would have been the fact that we paid cash and no registration was taken. We picked our own spot after driving by a wrecked car sitting in oue spot and broken down rvs in other spots..does it feel safe? No! Does it look safe? No! We are staying only because my driver is exhausted. We camped at Camp-Journey's End in a Motorhome.

Boyd's Key West Campground, Key West, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

This a really the best place to stay when visiting Key West. Yes, the sites are tight but the staff at Boyd's do an excellent job of getting you in and out without incident. We had full hookups and everything that we needed at the park. Across the street is a bus stop and for fifty cents (for seniors) you can catch the bus into town which is better than driving because parking in Key West is expensive and scarce. There are a couple of restaurants close by if you don't want to venture into town. We camped at Boyd's Key West Campground in a Motorhome.

Paradise Island RV Resort, Oakland Park, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very tight fit for a motorhome. The entry to the park and the site itself was extremely difficult to maneuver. Would not be our first choice if passing through here again. We camped at Paradise Island RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Amarillo KOA, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This park was adequate for an overnight stay. It is a bit off the beaten path, but not too difficult to find. The roads have developed some potholes after the recent snows and rain, but easy to maneuver around. We camped at Amarillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a good location for visiting the area. Sites were adequate, but no cable TV available. Nearby bar was very loud and continued well into the night with loud music. Make sure you know exactly how many nights you want to stay because they will not refund if you prepay and then have to depart early. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.
