Allegany Mountain Resort, East Otto, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is RPI rate. Staff were friendly but only one person was available to show us sites on a Sunday, so it took over an hour to find a site. Most sites are seasonal so "travelers" get sites that are not very level. This is a pretty resort and even though were were not seasonal members we still enjoyed free use of canoes, paddleboat and mini-golf. We prefer more quiet places but would return here because of the rate. WiFi is only available near specific locations and is slow - not worth paying for. We camped at Allegany Mountain Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Woods RV Park, Franklin, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Manager was very nice and helpful. This is a lovely area and park. Most of the sites are seasonal rentals so it is best to call ahead to make sure there is one available. Our site was difficult to get into and very close to other sites but manager helped. Some sites have lots of shade/trees; others have mix of shade and sun. Our site was too tight to have a campfire; picnic table was small and could only seat two adults. We camped at Country Woods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jordan Lake SRA / Crosswinds Campground, Apex, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely location and employees were pleasant. Sites are far apart and separated by trees. (More crowded close to the beach). Our only minor complaint was that our fire pit hadn't been cleaned in some time. We will definately return here. We camped at Jordan Lake SRA / Crosswinds Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Widely spaced sites; some with trees, others partial shade. Beach was lovely. We wished we had had time to stay longer. We would stay here again. We camped at Seven Points Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Maumelle COE, Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park with beautiful trees. Our site was on the river and very pretty. We wished we could have stayed longer. Some sites are designated as "medical" for family and friends needing care at university medical center. These are concrete pads - most are pull throughs. We would stay here again. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely park. We didn't have a reservation but found a nice site in the "hook-up" loop. Stayed two days to relax and hiked around the lake. We camped at Santa Rosa Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

St. George / Hurricane KOA, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $14.00

Sites are very close together; only a few sites for Coast-to-Coast or RPI members. Stayed here only because we could get RPI rate. Would not stay here at regular rate. We camped at St. George / Hurricane KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stone Mountain Heights Mobile Home Park, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park if you need to be near Atlanta. Owner's are nice. Stayed here last year - only a few minor improvements have been made. (Restrooms only available when office is open.) WiFi is free but you have to be in or near office. Since last year most RV sites have new gravel and some of the junk around the park has been removed. Laundary room is old, dirty and has a sewer odor at times. But RV sites are far apart and mobile home residents are pleasant. Rate reflects monthly rate of $550. We would stay here again. We camped at Stone Mountain Heights Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Marathon Motel and RV Park, Marathon, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park. The hotel park has a beautiful, large courtyard with tables and fireplace. We stayed only one night but would have loved to stay longer if schedule would have allowed. We had a nice pull-through site that allowed an easy set-up. Owners and staff were friendly and helpful owner invited people to join him for a look at the night sky and gave a brief class. Really enjoyed that and because of the location, the stars were brilliant! Rate was PA ($12.50). We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Marathon Motel and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins, Westcliffe, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff and pretty park. We like to have evening shade to sit out and eat dinner. Couldn't do that at this park because all sites have evening sun and there are no picnic tables. Lovely trees provide some shade and the patches of grass are pretty but you can't put anything on it. I do think the price is high but we would stay here again if we were in this area. We camped at Grape Creek RV Park Campground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park. Located south of Colorado Springs but easy to drive to any of the sights. Staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Our dogs loved the dog park and we all loved the mule deer that visited every evening. Sites were separated by trees and not cramped. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Robinson State Park, Crawford, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful state park. We liked it so much we extended our stay. Many historic buildings to tour and a natural history museum. Sites were generous; one campground has full hookups. Staff was friendly. Saw bison, prong horns and deer. Great place for hiking and trial riding. Lots of activities in the summer but we enjoyed the quiet in the fall. We would stay here again. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA , Fort Collins, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Nice destination park for families but we don't use most of the amenities so it is an expensive place for us. We were not happy when told we could not put up a small pen for our two small dogs. They also wanted to charge $10 if our friend visited our RV. Will only stay here again if we can't find someplace else. We camped at Fort Collins / Lakeside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Veterans Memorial County Park & Campground, West Salem, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with friendly staff. Since we were staying 1 night, they gave us the last pull-through site. Rating reflexes the lack of full hookups and other amenities. Still a very nice park for a day or so. Liked walking the dogs in this huge park. Too bad some of the seasonal folks leave their dogs off leash. We would stay here again. We camped at Veterans Memorial County Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
