We made a reservation on-line; alas, ours was absolutely nothing like the picture displayed! Most all sites are in the woods and roomy; one very nice area is in an open field setting with very spacious sites. But, our site was in the forest and by the lake, which was drawn down in October, so we had an absolutely lovely view of a greenish mud hole. Many of the sites are rather deep in ravines, mined with large deciduous trees, mainly back-ins, and tricky getting into. Ours came with nifty "tire traps" on each side of the site - fall of the edge of the site and you're doomed. We finally backed down in correctly - it was short, unlevel, with a steep entry. CG culture. Okay, There seemed a lot of locals here from western KY. Lovely folks really, but it seemed they do crave their constant smoky campfires both day and night. Apparently, there's nothing more healthful or invigorating than waking up fresh in the morning and then immediately standing directly over the smoldering campfire, and breathing deeply. "Ahhh" - So good! Fellow campers around us seemed so delighted to smoke out the entire area, the constant toxic fog blanketed our once pleasant hollow: thick and stinky, and made it seem more like London, than western Kentucky. It forced us to keep our trailer hermetically sealed, as the constant stench was so strong and acrid, we simply couldn't breath. On top of the fire thing, most all folks at the CG seem oddly incapable or unwilling to use their feet, for the dying art known as "walking". Most site dwellers, felt the strong desire to bring a large annoying snazzy gas powered, "camp cart". Campers - happily whizzing around aboard these noisy, fast moving, and dangerous buggies, seemed to delight in the "go-cart" activity - while lowly fellow humans, trying to move themselves under their own quiet locomotive powers, must be ever vigilantly for being run over at any moment; much like squirrels trying to cross a busy highway.

This is one of the few campgrounds within easy driving range of Charlottesville, VA (about 25 min. to the East). This CG is not far off I64, so its easy to find if arriving at night (as we did). This is a well run professional park with lots of staff to attend to the park and customers needs. Good services, nice store with LOTS of RV goodies. Topography: Its almost like two parks in one... You have the site areas near the office (which are basically on the flat fields), then then you have a road going out back into the woods and up a steep winding grade (and I do mean STEEP), to another collection wooded ridge sites atop this little mountain. We stayed near the road. All connections were adequate: AC power levels - good, water pressure fine, cable tv - umm, acceptable. Verizon: weak but fine. My site was far from level - front to back or left to right (which could have been fixed with a little grading work guys). Fellow campers there were all nice. Safe little place. The road out front of the CG is a small two lane highway. Its busy, and often filled with fast moving vehicles manned by seemingly quite impatient drivers - so use caution. Due to the surface of this highway, and the speed of the vehicles, there is quite a bit of road noise being blasted into the park (the road does thankfully quiet down some at night). The road noise became wearing after a few days... Overall, a great place to stay, while you take in Monticello, or enjoy all that Charlottesville has to offer (which includes some great shopping).

Rate is Passport America. Nice stop over south of Atlanta about 1.5 hours on I75. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Nice park. Lots of long term residents... with nicer units. Umm, some loose gravel and sand sites, rather dirty, not so level. Good place to walk around, quiet, with little highway noise - amazing as it is very close by. Good quality connections, WiFi Excellent coverage, good signal with relay signal nodes. Overall, great "stopover" park - >>>except<<< the restrooms / bath houses: which are totally inadequate in size and pathetically shabby for such a nice park as this. No air conditioning... one bathhouse was closed, the other, umm, looked like it had not seen paint since 1962. Musty, dank, two stalls??? They were clean - but beat. This is a BIG park, with lots of visitors... and residents. So, -1 for loose gravel and sandy site. -2 for shabby inadequate restrooms / bathhouses. Come on guys, you can do much better!

Stopped at the CG twice this summer enroute on I-81. Nice quiet little place not far (east) from the highway. Caution: DO NOT ENTER THE CG by Water Street, unless you have a small trailer or just a camper van. (The road is very narrow with a couple of sharp turns.) Not a problem if you just follow the signs around the hill to enter, via the other way in. Sites are all back-ins, might be a bit tricky for some. One side of the sites is all on the river, which is quite pleasant and peaceful to look at, enjoy, and be near. The place is "multi-generation" family run. WOW: nice to see in today's world. (They try hard to run a decent place, and it shows!) Excellent Cable TV, WiFi: good signal. Good full hookups. The restrooms were looked after when I was here and the office was well manned. Safe at night. I am happy to know of this little spot, and will be delighted to continue to use it in the future.

This excellent run KOA provides a great stopping point in or out of New England, via the I-87 to I-90 Corridor. The CG is located about 100 miles north of NYC, which is just about perfect for avoiding the madness and frantic rush hours you will find just a bit closer. the CG is only about two miles off the highway, on a good road in. Absolutely NO highway noise, seems you are many miles into the sticks. The CG is set in very tall impressive straight shady pines, which provide for an interesting "in the woods feel and effect". Excellent reception and staff, was escorted to site. All connections at site were excellent. Bathrooms and showers older, but very clean and useable. Pool looked nice. Wi-Fi free and strong. Loved the outside large SS Dish Washing station - cool! (Wish more places had that.) All in all, this is a perfect KOA to spend a few days at, or just as an overnight lay-over, on your way in or out of the New England area. Safe and comfortable, run by caring intelligent folks who live on location. Great. I'll be back! Rating: 10

Outstanding park! Everything is great. Terrific location close to many areas in the mountains you might wish to visit. Safe. Excellent restrooms, showers, laundry. Near highway but VERY QUIET. Awesome summer climate! No AC required at night! Super stable electrical, cable TV, & water connections. Excellent free Wi-Fi. Well stocked store. A top notch friendly staff who are available - but not too in your face! Just the right balance (unlike many "dictator"-like run parks)... It was so nice in fact, decided to stay an extra three nights. Parks main inhabitants are BIG RIG mega Class A RVs with toads in tow. Perfect safe harbor for them, easy in and out. Come early on Fridays, as it seems to be VERY popular on summer weekends. Rating: EXCELLENT - 10!

Very nice stop over enroute in or out of Florida via the 301 cut-across to I-10 from I-75. Stopped in here on a very rainy afternoon when it was better to let the storms go by. Happy to get a site. They were not at all busy. Excellent reception. Was escorted to a dirt, gravel, and wet sandy site close to bathrooms; but unfortunately, site was no way level (sloped down and to right). Made for a tiresome slow set up, leveling out in torrential rain. Nearby there were perfectly level unoccupied paved sites. CG is within walking distance to a top notch IHOP. Try the pancakes! Morning brought constant, repeated, rapid air hammering noise from nearby tire store. (Pretty much non-stop from about 7AM on). Sound was very annoying and not at all peaceful. KOA family staff very much "on the ball," and busy, busy, busy. Clean bathrooms with security lock for entry. Great Wi-Fi signal (but alas utilizing coupon driven, TengoNet: sorry, not a fan). Everything at the CG is very much attended to and look after. They take pride, and it shows! A VERY well kept KOA, but alas somewhat crippled by the noisy local business. Still, A WINNER! Score: - 1 for non-level dirty annoying site (when paved site was available next door). -1 for rather unpeaceful atmosphere from tiresome tire store offering constant morning audio torture with your coffee: located directly north of CG. Great lay-over enroute to the south, directly off Route I-95. EASY IN AND OUT via slightly remote and and creepie side road. Nice pull through sites. Pool was clean and relaxing, thanks! The place has a very nice little cafe that offers chicken bits, pizza, and even tasty espressos in the A.M. Wow; Cool! Very professional staff. Bathrooms rather dated but hey - clean. Wifi was garbage - barely working, had to use my hotspot. Also, a DEAD ZONE for my Virgin Mobile phone. Hmm. Overall, a great stopover in a rather quiet part of S.C. Near the highway, but not much noise. A bit dirty with all the gravel. Electrical connections are dated, but mine was operational. Felt safe, even in the wee hours when I was up for a while. Staff really tries to run a nice place, and it shows! -1 for Internet Connection.

Nice place to stop enroute on Route 95. Easy to find off highway. Clean. Self check-in after hours. Level sites, pull throughs. Great free waffle breakfast. Caring and friendly staff. The biggest negative here was the dirt and mud which you have to deal with at your site. The sites are all in the pines, with a virgin dirt base. Some pine sap too. I had to spend about 20 minutes clearing this gunk out of my shoes, before I would even dare to step foot inside my trailer. Ended up leaving shoes outside. I would NOT want to be here in heavy rain. I bought a pair of rubber farm boots for next time!

Okay... Nice stop over, if purchasing a trailer at Casita Trailers (up I-45 north just 10 minutes in Rice, TX). Friendly office staff. The place is clean, mostly crushed stone sites, lots of pull throughs. Restrooms were very nice, very big, and very clean. It was quite at night, except for a train that would not stop with the horn at about 4AM. The only real negative is that this park is located on the extreme opposite side of the town from I-45, which means a bit of an annoying long 4 mile though town trek each time across the main transverse thoroughfare (route 31). The road is rather old, with railroad tracks to cross, its narrow, busy, and was being worked on when I was there. A definite plus is you go by the original Collins Street Bakery going to and from the park. Do yourself a favor and stop in here for some tasty breakfast treats! If you do one thing in this town - eat here... There's a very busy Walmart, just east of the park, many other services on 31 headed out to the park's location. There's not much beyond it. I would stop here again if I had to come to Corsicana... felt safe.

A very nice "out of the way" little place. Well run and it shows! Beautiful "park-like" setting. Pretty, quiet, very pleasant. The folks running this establishment are very particular, and keep this "nice for all". A safe in route stopover or destination for relaxation in the country. Very good pull though sites. Good stop if cutting across to I-45 on connector route 105 (from I-10).

Very nice well kept safe RV park. Terrific and friendly folks live on site. Awesome bath facilities, super pull though sites with concrete pads. Everything is very well kept! The place is up north from the interstate so - it's nice and quiet. Just a word of caution: go slow getting off I-10 as the road near the train tracks is very rough and uneven. After that it is fine.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stop while traveling east or west on I-10 or visiting this area of the Florida panhandle. This is really an excellent "top notch" RV Park. Quiet and run by really nice and caring folks who live right there. Safe, clean, comfortable. Nice pull though sites. I stayed here again on my return trip, love this place. PERFECT and a great price! I'll be happy to return whenever I am passing through again.
