McFarland Park Campground, Florence, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was my favorite campground on our Georgia to California trip. Love the location right on the river, with cliffs on the other side. Enjoyed the barges on the river. Northern Alabama is a beautiful place. Very quiet and well maintained park here. We camped at McFarland Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Very good park, we stayed on the broad river side from Sunday until Wednesday . Fishing was good from bank. Elbert county is doing a very good job of running this park. We camped at Bobby Brown State Park in a Motorhome.

A very friendly ranger at this park. We were on site #6,were very near highway, did not bother me, but the wife complained. Will return to this park and bring canoe with us. Very beautiful river here. Power plant just upstream has shutdown, so no noise from there. We camped at Colleton State Park in a Motorhome.
