Sundermeier RV Park, Saint Charles, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We've been coming here for 14 years. The park has large cement pads with wide paved streets; no gravel, dirt or mud! The owner keeps the park nicely landscaped and very clean. The WiFi is outstanding and the Katy Trail is right out the back gate of the park. All park resources worked well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We will return! We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

Belvidere East / Exit 170 KOA, Midland, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great KOA run by a very nice family. We've stayed here several times enroute to Wyoming. The roads are wide as are the sites so easy to navigate with a Big Rig. All facilities worked well, we will definitely return. We camped at Belvidere East / Exit 170 KOA in a Motorhome.

Richfield KOA, Richfield, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Nice KOA that is being renovated by the owner. They are in the process of adding Big Rig sites in the park. Those that are completed look good, we were assigned one that was still being landscaped. All the facilities worked well! We camped at Richfield KOA in a Motorhome.

Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, albeit expensive, KOA. The site has a patio and patio furniture with nice landscaping. All facilities worked well. There is a caution though, Site 1 has a large tree guarding the right side of the entrance into the site and there is a retaining wall on the left side of the site. The access road also has parking for the office directly abeam of site 1. If you drive a tall coach, like a Newmar, watch the tree when turning into the site! There is a large branched trunk that intrudes into the site space and judging by the scars on the tree it has been hit numerous times! We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Cheyenne KOA, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Very nice KOA with a pleasant staff. When the staff saw the size of our rig they changed our site to provide more room behind our Toad. The CG was easy to maneuver and the facilities worked well. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

Spearfish KOA, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice KOA! Unfortunately we were parked on site-A which is a grass site behind the office where several sites are stacked one on top of the other. We had to drive the entire park to reach site-A and we had to do the same thing to depart. The exit from site-A is guarded by a large pine tree that a Big Rig cannot maneuver around! In addition, when the evening Ice Cream Social started in the office our campsite was the path to the Ice Cream! If you're driving a Big Rig tell them you do not want the grass sites behind the office. All other elements of the park worked well with the exception of the campers parked with their trucks stuck out in the roadway. We camped at Spearfish KOA in a Motorhome.

Double Nickel Campground, Waco, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park is owned by a very polite young couple that live on site. The park is very convenient to I-80 but there was little road noise. The sites are spaced out and the roads were easy to maneuver with a Big Rig. All the facilities worked well. There is a warning for high nitrate in the water. If you're coming in on the weekend, be sure to have reservations as the park fills on the weekends. We camped at Double Nickel Campground in a Motorhome.

Kearney RV Park and Campground, Kearney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Park is convenient to I-80 with a dedicated "short term stay' section, read no long term clutter! The park is located on a small lake with wide gravel roads that lead to cement parking slabs. The slab was large enough for me to position the wheels and jacks of our 45' DP on it. The utilities are well positioned and worked well. The WiFi was outstanding, one of the best we have experienced! The staff was very friendly, we will definitely return. We camped at Kearney RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Area's Finest Country View Campground, Ogallala, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Country View Campground is very convenient to I-80 and the town of Ogallala. The interior roads are gravel and wide enough for easy navigation. Our site was very long and easily held our 45' DP and Toad. The utilities worked well but the WiFi was limited. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will return when in this area again. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Dakota Ridge RV Park has paved roads and fairly level cement pad sites. The problem with the sites is they are short, 55' for a 45' Big Rig that is towing (site C-1)! Because of the short sites, the roads are very tight for maneuvering due to parked Toads/trucks in front and behind Big Rigs!! Because you CAN park a 45' DP does not make the park Big Rig "friendly"... You can get one in but be careful maneuvering! The WiFi worked reasonably well as did the power, water and sewer. BTW, the site connections are "side by side". The office staff were very polite and the grounds are well kept... Just a little crowded. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Missoula KOA, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice KOA. We stayed in a deluxe site that was very spacious with an additional space for our car. The KOA has a restaurant and lots of activities for kids. All facilities worked and we enjoyed our stay. The only negative is the older trailer park that surrounds the park... We camped at Missoula KOA in a Motorhome.

Glenwood Canyon Resort, Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

First this is NOT a resort! Glenwood Canyon is a gravel parking lot with RVs stacked on top of one another! Nor is Glenwood Canyon Big Rig friendly, just because you can "shoehorn" a Big Rig into a site does not make the park Big Rig Friendly. Most of the corners are guarded by large rocks and this AM a Newmar Essex hit the rocks while attempting to make a turn. The "300" area sites have electrical all the way to the rear of the site and the sewer all the way to the front of the site, be sure to bring lots of sewer hose! The situation is further exacerbated by having river rafting in the park. The river rafters drive walk through the center driveway, RVs line the driveway on either side. And, there is no posted speed limit which creates pure chaos!! We camped at Glenwood Canyon Resort in a Motorhome.

Junction West RV Park, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

I read some of the other reviews of this campground. I don't know where they were parked but it certainly wasn't our experience. Very friendly staff, escorted to site. We're driving a 45' motorhome, towing, and we were guided in to accommodate our rig and toad. Roads and site are large pebble as opposed to gravel. All resources worked well. The width of the roadway made parking a big rig easy! We will definitely return! We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park just off of 191 Hwy. The "Park" is divided with a Resort area on one end and a Park area on the other. The roads are paved and the sites are concrete. The Resort is nicely landscaped with trees and a Koi Pond. Because of maintenance, the turns coming in were a little snug but doable! All utilities worked without issue. We will definitely return here. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.
