This park is really pleasant. The owner and managers are helpful and friendly. There's a path through the nearby woods that's lovely and great for dog walking. The park is conveniently close to I-75, but there's very little traffic noise. For veterans, the park is mid-way between Gainesville and Lake City, both of which have VA centers and medical facilities. Really glad we found the High Springs RV Park.

Beware if you check into this park. We had planned to stay for 3 months while having surgery and paid $471 for the first month. Within the first week the owner was harassing us and swearing at us because of perceived parking violations: The first violation was parking in front of the coach for 10 minutes to unload the car; the second was parking the car 4 feet behind the coach rather than snug against the coach in order to avoid pine sap from their trees (we were not obstructing anything); the third violation was accidentally veering 18 inches to the right behind the coach when pulling in (and then immediately straightening the car). Then the owner came over to the coach, banged on the door, called us unprintable names, and told us to leave because "three strikes and you're out!". We had been there for 19 days. Actually, they did us a favor because the strain of staying there plus the strain of the anticipated surgery was becoming unnecessarily unbearable. Their sign on the road indicates "fun" but I've had more fun and been more relaxed at a funeral.

Love this park! It's close to I-95 with very easy access. Found the park a few years ago and have been visiting at least once a year since. It's like going home to family. They don't have a swimming pool, but allow swimming and boating in the lake. Also, they have an enclosed pet run, which is a big feature for folks with dogs, like us. Every once in a while the owners build a bonfire, and campers have an opportunity to get to know their neighbors. Like I said, Love this park!
