Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, Parksville, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here years ago. They have converted some parking areas into camp sites. Which are not as nice as the old ones in the woods. The trails and biking is wonderful. The beach has to to be one of the best in Canada. At low tide there is over a km. of sand bar and when the tide comes in over that hot sand. WOW! No hook ups. We camped at Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Parry's RV Park, Parksville, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second visit here. This is a very old park. The most of the sites are crowded. It was alive with kids having a wonderful time. Between the river and the pool there was a buzz of children. Being seniors, we may come back in the off season. We camped at Parry's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Salmon Point RV Park, Campbell River, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This one of our favorite parks. The setting, the restaurant, the service, and the location keep us coming back. One of the most enjoyable parts was the PUB lic hike. The trail starts at the Salmon Point pub and you have a beautiful easy walk along the sea side then, the Oyster River estuary, then through the woods to the Oyster river pub. Unfortunately the Oyster River pub closed this year after being open for about 80 years. But it is still a wonderful 3-4 km hike. We camped at Salmon Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is in Canadian dollars. This is a large privately owned, gated, RV Resort. Spaces are rented out if available. It is very nice, with a lovely Hot tub over looking the ocean. Convenient shopping if you have a bike, a bit of a hike if not. Well worth the money. We will definitely return. We camped at Surfside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Seal Bay RV Park & Campground, Courtenay, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The Rate is Canadian dollars. An absolutely delightful park. We watched the trout leaping up to catch the dragonflies. There is an entrance to Seal Bay Nature Park which has wonderful trails. The sites have a bit of foliage separating each site. The entrance road is a bit of a washboard. We will definitely return to stay longer. We camped at Seal Bay RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Park Sands Beach Resort, Parksville, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times. It is very convenient right downtown and on a beautiful beach. Apparently there are new owners and now the price exceeds the amenities. I'm not sure we will be back and if we are it will be for shorter stays. We camped at Park Sands Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Gilgal Oasis RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This is the first park we hit when getting off the Port Angeles/Victoria Ferry (Coho) and the last before catching the ferry. It has a limited number of pull thru's . It is very convenient with Quality Foods across the street with very cheap fuel. We were chastised for not telling them our length with the bikes on the back. But managed to accommodate us. We camped at Gilgal Oasis RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cannon Beach RV Resort, Cannon Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is our 10th time to stay in this park. Needless to say we like it. The lots are paved but usually need a bit of leveling. They are all nestled in the the trees, which is beautiful but impossible for satellite. There is a wonderful indoor pool. The store is reasonably equipped. Gas and diesel is available, but is expensive. The channel guide that is provided bears no resemblance to what is available. We camped at Cannon Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cascade Locks / Portland East KOA, Cascade Locks, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We had a paved, level pull through. It was in the trees so there was a lot of fir needles. No staff on the weekend. Our space was in the middle and we were only about 150ft. from the train tracks and 5-6 trains went through per night. Bring your ear plugs. Good Wifi. Good cable. Tips for other Campers:

This is a good place to explore the Columbia River Gorge. All the Falls are spectacular. We hiked to the top of Multnomah Falls. The Crown Point Vita House is worth a visit if just for the view. Bonneville Dam and fish hatchery is very interesting. Everything is within 15 miles.
