I agree with all said before but the location is great. It is a state fair park not a camping place in the woods so the parking lot feel is to be expected. I was leaving the park in early December it was 10 degrees out side. My truck was sluggish to start because of the cold. I asked the guy at the desk for a jump. He looked irritated that I interrupted his book reading. I asked him why not as I was a little stunned (most of us have needed or been asked to give a jump in our life time especially in such cold temperatures), He replied he didn't have any cables I informed him I had cables and I was knowledgeable enough to hook them up with out causing any damage to his truck. He then said no I'm not going to help you, and went back to reading his book and pretended I wasn't there. He didn't offer to call park security who might of helped I asked one of my fellow campers who was very friendly even though I woke him up refused the 20$ I tried to give him and wished me a safe trip. I will not stay here again.

I enjoyed this place. It is gravel but the sights are level. The owner is constantly making improvements. Like most of us he dose the best he can with what he has. Its quiet secluded but not to hard to get to, a nice change from the usual place. Its a little tough to get your satellite dish to come in but with a little effort I was able to get 90% of my HD channels. but there are several local channels. There's a reasonably prided canoe trip near buy Id suggest to anyone. They had the nicest showers and restroom Ive ever seen at a campground.

I can agree with a lot of what was said. The place was a little rundown but then again a lot of people will be turned away by the Train and freeway noise. So I can understand why they don't make it a high dollar resort. Its close to Dayton not really a lot choices. The staff was very nice accommodating and helpful. Derelict campers I met two of them one was a out of work Iron Worker who was working for a defense contractor doing the best he could with his 8$ an hour, the other was a retired carpenter. Both were very good guys and I enjoyed meeting them. Shame on anyone who looks down their nose at someone in a lesser financial position then they are. They gave me a good monthly rate like the rest of us they do the best they can with what they have. I would stay there again.
