Whispering Elms Campground, Baker, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are lose gravel based, not very well marked. Someone did guide us to our site. We stayed two nights. The second day, another rig was put next to ours in an opposite direction, so they could not fully extend their awning. The staff doesn't observe their own 5 mph speed limit. Drive the mules through the campsites kicking up dust. If not for its close approximatity to Great Basin Natonal Park, I wouldn't stay there again. We camped at Whispering Elms Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Best dog runs we ever experienced! Spacious with trees and boulders, the dog runs made us feel like our 4-legged family members were welcomed. After all, one of the main reasons for motorhome owners are because their pets. The sites were paved and separated with artificial grass area. The park is so clean and neat. We saw workers cleaning and checking the sites regularly. Our second stay was even greeted with a worker guiding us to our site in his golf cart (we arrived late the first stay). The workers are very friendly. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Coastal Dunes RV Park , Oceano, California

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is between a railroad and a busy highway. The site we were in was about 25-30 feet from the road. The road noise woke us up a few times when the big trucks went by. The site grass was mostly dry and there are a lot of low spots and bare dirt. The site was not long enough to accommodate a 33-ft 5th wheel and the truck. We had to park across the small road. The staff was friendly taking the reservation. They charged a $8 reservation fee. We camped at Coastal Dunes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
