Potawatomi State Park, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

It took over 30 minutes for the clerk to find a site. She keep saying it was the computer but she showed a site available and it was not and after driving around the large park at night we settled on a site that was so tight I could no put my slides out. The rate of $44.00 included $11.00 for out of state people. I may have rated it higher if I had a choice of sites during daylight but as I said it took so long to find a site I told her Let's just act as if I was coming in after close and I'll pay in the morning. They also wanted to charge friends of mine the $11.oo just to come into the park and pick me up! They did let them in without pay after I told them they would not be getting out of their car!

I would never stay in a Wisconsin state park again at there rates We camped at Potawatomi State Park in a Motorhome.

Terrace View Campsites, Tomahawk, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very rustic old style camping. They have been making upgrades as of late I was told. Owner and person who checked me in were very nice. the campground is 50 years old and there are only a few sited for a rig like mine ( 35 MN ). on a lake but unless you have a tent or small trailer you have to stay above the lake and walk down to a boat dock. Like another camper mentioned the 30 amp service was covered by a coffee can? Even though it is very rustic it had a good location just of hwy 8 and we stayed for 1 night. The Passport rate of 18.00 was a good deal and I would stay here again. We camped at Terrace View Campsites in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Maybe I hit it at the wrong time but I tried calling to make a reservation on Friday for the coming Saturday and Sunday and called at 5:50pm and again at 6:30 and had to leave a message both times for them to call back.
They didn't. I called again 9;30am Saturday and the same scenario.

I arrived Saturday around 4:15pm and asked why they didn't return my phone calls and was told they close at 5:00pm on Friday. ( there phone message states they close at 7:00pm.) They still didn't call back on any of the 3 messages.

I was assigned a site which I did not like and they did let me move to a ( premium site at a little more which I was told I could pay the difference the next day. That was OK with me.
Although the premium site was not any different from the 2 next to it which were not premium.
It was a weekend and there were a lot of kids riding around and cutting through our site to get to the lake.

We even left after one night even though we paid for two.

They didn't open up until 9:00am so I called and left a message that if I could get a refund for the second night minus the extra cost for the first night that would be great.
Guess what...no return call.

When we checked in they did not mention any code for the wifi so I can't really comment on that.
They do have cable outlets but do not offer it.

I would not stay here again. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beverly Beach State Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with the review stating the park has seen better days. I had a site H26 which was a very tight spot that did not allow me to open my slides the entire way. The worst thing about my stay was the fact that I'm guessing because it was a Friday there were a lot of large extended families and friends and neighbors at adjoining sites making it a very busy area in addition to having kids riding around all day ( with plastic training wheels ). I would not stay here again. We camped at Beverly Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Bullards Beach State Park, Bandon, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

I could have rated this lower because of not having Wi-Fi or cable but the part was so nice I didn't miss those features. I can't believe the beautiful state parts Oregon has to offer. So far I have traveled from Santa Rosa California to Coos bay . Every park I stayed at was great!
I would stay here again in a heart beat. There were mosquitoes in the early morning. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Redwood Meadows RV Resort (formerly Hiouchi RV Resort), Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived 1:20pm and had to wait until 2:15pm for the person to get back from lunch! The park was really open with a large field in the middle. A lot of pull though sites but all looked very tight. Mine was. Had to keep moving back and forth so I could open my slides without hitting the utilities poles ( elect, water, etc ) sites were pretty level. Some had low over hanging branches. All in all, not the best and not the worst I've stayed at. Paid showers at .50 for 5 minutes. A nice market next door. We camped at Redwood Meadows RV Resort (formerly Hiouchi RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

I agree with NOV 2015 with the exception of the size of the spaces.
I have a 35 mh and I can fit 2 full size pickups along side. My lot #57. I also noticed lots 36 -40 were the same size or even bigger.
I would stay here again. We camped at Portside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Death Valley Inn and RV Park (formerly Burro Inn Casino & RV Park), Beatty, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Good location for Death Valley. Simple park. Nothing special but bathrooms were recently re done very nicely but not keep as clean as they should have been considering the park was not busy.
I might try one of the other parks in the town for around 25- 30 a night. We camped at Death Valley Inn and RV Park (formerly Burro Inn Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

River Bend Resort, Forestville, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

I would have rated this park a little lower If not for having one of the nicest sites, R15 backing up to the river.
There are mostly long term campers there while I was there May 24th.
They were not that busy but told me all the had for my 35ft MH was full service even though I said a 30 amp without sewer would work ( to keep cost down ? )
I thought the grout in the tile stalls were green, but at a closer look I noticed it was mold.
I would not stay here again. We camped at River Bend Resort in a Motorhome.
