North Shore Landing, Emory, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best in this area. Experienced owners. Superb grounds. Good spacing. Good wifi, fishing pond, lake access. Close enough to major grocery store. Can't say enough about owners and how accommodating they are. Very clean little laundry with bath. We camped at North Shore Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Hawkins RV Park, Hawkins, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great little park. Nice grounds among pines on the lake. Quiet, level pads. Senior discount. Good spacing between sites. Most sites don't have sewer, but for the price it's not important. Friendly staff. We camped at Lake Hawkins RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Harrison Bay State Park, Harrison, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. If you have something over 32 feet or have a long bed tow vehicle try to get in the A loop. B loop is very crowded and tight. Took a lot of backing and straightening to get in and out of B35 because we were long. Otherwise it's a great park. We camped at Harrison Bay State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yegua Creek COE, Somerville, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is a COE park so it's taken care of. The only drawback would be if your trailer is tall or long. There are a few sites that

might be a bit tight for those, but most are very roomy. The host at the gate is very pleasant and the ranger is excellent. I scraped a spot on my roof and not only did he find me a ladder. But he went up and put temporary patch on for me. That dedication deserves a 4 star rating. We camped at Yegua Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

You are close to Bryan-College Station and Brenham. A side trip to Brenham and the Blue Bell factory is a must. Also the Antique Rose Emporium is nearby.

Last Resort Motel and RV Park, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here three years ago, much work has been added and more is going on. Park is very clean and quiet. Well located and management is very friendly and professional. Lots of new sites are being added and they are well laid out. So much improvement, we will come back next year for a longer stay. We camped at Last Resort Motel and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to see Helen, Ga., Anna Ruby Falls and Brasstown Bald. Also use Streak Hill road from highway 17 or Kelly road from highway 76. Do not use the Garmin approach as these small roads aren't suited for RVs or trailers.
