Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Love this park. Great for an in transit stopover of 2-3 days. Rest rooms immaculate, laundry rooms clean, very friendly staff. Park is in an Orange Grove and during season, fresh oranges from the trees are wonderful. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just around the corner is a farm store selling nuts, citrus, and lots of other goodies. If you like spice, the jalapeno cashews are our top choice.

Cattail Cove State Park, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Fourth time we have stayed here. It only gets better each time. Volunteers are wonderful, enjoy what they are doing. Park provides some hikes and programs, all of which have been very well done. They keep tidying up the park with lots of labor and love. If new section ever comes on line it will be fabulous. We camped at Cattail Cove State Park in a Motorhome.

Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This has become our "go to" park on our visits to Yellowstone for a stop over. Have only stayed one night each time but I can see adding a couple nights. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Three Island Crossing State Park, Glenns Ferry, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Good place for a stopover but not sure how lively an extended stay would be. Small town with limited services. Thanks to the staff who went way out of their way attempting to make sure we got our senior discount. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $71.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here several times. The park continues to be meticulously maintained and well staffed. Clearly they care about their campers. Would have given it a 10 except this time the price was approaching a level of real concern. I don't expect cheap and I am willing to pay for clean and well kept, but... We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Buffalo Bar is a great local joint for meals out. Enjoy the West Yellowstone shopping.
