Hwy 71 RV Park, Cedar Creek, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects monthly rate. Our pull-thru site was long and spacious. However, after dumping air down to about 40-50 lbs and leveling, it caused the first step to be well off the ground requiring an additional step. The interior road was very rough and need potholes repaired. There are many long term rigs here and some don't keep their areas neat and orderly. In spite of Hwy 71 being very close, road noise was not bad. Office staff was polite and professional. We camped at Hwy 71 RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Oaks RV Park, Cedar Creek, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rate based on one week stay. Management was friendly and efficient and all utilities worked flawlessly. Some pull through sites have concrete pads. Road noise was minimal. Interior roads in need of pot holes filled/graded. Grass in the common area around the office was mowed but, the sites were left in dire need of mowing. If stopping on the east side of Austin, we might stay here again. We camped at The Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Junction/North Llano River RV Park, Junction, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We concur with the previous comment. The site was long enough to not have to unhook the toad and very wide. The pergola and wooden lawn chairs were a nice touch and pleasant surprise. Management was very pleasant, efficient and helpful. We were warned about the water pressure being a little high but had a regulator, so no problem. This is a great park and will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally, Anthony, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are long and wide but our site (H8) need more than usual leveling front to back. Road/train noise was not an issue. Basically, this is a huge gravel parking lot with only ESW. Park is clean but dusty so drive slow. Management friendly, helpful, and efficient. It is conveniently located behind Camping World and a Pilot/Flying J is nearby. This park is/was scheduled to become a KOA 12/01/14. When this happens, I suspect the price will go up substantially. Depending on price, I might stay here again when passing through. We camped at Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally in a Motorhome.

Easy on/off I-40. There was some highway/train noise but tolerable. Site was level but a little tight. Utilities were no problem. This was our third time staying here and it is a good overnight stop. We camped at Whip In RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects Good Sam discount. Check-in was speedy even with many rigs lined up to get into the park. Staff was efficient and professional. Asphalt roads and level, concrete sites with patio and pea gravel between sites. Utilities were good; water pressure seemed high so used regulator. WiFi worked great. When passing through, would definitely stay here again. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sky City RV Park, Acoma, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Rate (then add tax) reflects price advertised on a billboard before reaching the park. Make sure you ask for the "billboard" price. Park is barren but clean. Roads and sites were gravel but close to level. Area between sites was crushed gravel but full of goatheads, so watch your dogs. Utilities were good but water pressure seemed a little high so used a regulator. WiFi was great. They have water & electric locked so they give you a key. If you do not return the key when you leave, they will charge you an extra $10.00 on your credit card. Staff was pleasant and professional. Next time through would probably stay in Albuquerque. We camped at Sky City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects Passport America. All utilities were good. Roadway and parking sites were hardtop; close to level. A picnic table sat on crushed rock. Very handy to Grand Canyon train trip and doggie daycare was great. Didn't use cable but WiFi was good. The staff was efficient, professional, and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mono Vista RV Park, Lee Vining, California

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here three nights. Park is near the town and a great base camp for Yosemite NP and surrounding mountain area. Site was adequate for 40' coach with 4 slide-outs & leveled nicely with small amount of tweeking. Utilities were good but water pressure seemed a little high so used a reducer. Our 3 wi-fi hotspots didn't work so paid $4.00 per day to use office wi-fi. Park has many large trees which made satellite reception difficult. Moved on last day and was able to hook-up. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp), Nellis AFB, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best FamCamp that we've stayed at. All utilities worked great (with smokin' fast wi-fi) and the concrete pad was level. This was the longest site we've been in. After putting our 40' coach where I wanted it, we parked the car in front and had room for 2 more vehicles to park behind the coach. Check-in was quick, efficient and friendly, and you get an escort to your site. Because pull-throughs are oriented around circles, the sites were extremely spacious. When in the area, we will certainly stay here again. We camped at Desert Eagle RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here two months and nightly rate reflects 28-day months. We agree with what others have said about the park and believe it is the nicest in the Reno area, especially the views. The Wi-Fi has now been fixed and it is smokin' fast and reliable. Security cruises around often. Freeway and train noise was tolerable. Great deals at the casino cafe. Seems there is always something going on in the Reno area. We would stay here again and made reservations for next year. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Twin Spruce RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel roads and pads & sites with grill & picnic table. We camped in the lower level & found the sites long, wide & level with all utilities exceptional. Price reflects monthly rate & all utilities included. Propane available on site & discounted to residents. Management friendly, professional & accommodating. Although NOT a park issue, our satellite had occasional problems with the HD channels. The only possible negative might be the highway noise. We camped at Twin Spruce RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe KOA, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

All the previous negative comments are true. The first site we were given was unlevel to the point I asked for another site and was cheerfully given one that was level, but very tight. As others stated, the staff is very professional, pleasant and helpful. I was able to get onto the Wi-Fi at 6:30 AM but 6:30 at night, forget it. This park is way over-priced. We will stay elsewhere when in Santa Fe. We camped at Santa Fe KOA in a Motorhome.

4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground, Ouray, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived, our first site was blocked by a trailer. Our second site was so far off level the front tires were off the ground. At the third site, the auto levelers over-corrected and when we lowered them, the windshield cracked. We had paid for three nights, but after the windshield incident, we decided to just leave after two nights. management refunded one nights rate. She wasn't obligated to do so and we did appreciate it. All previous positive and negative comments that we read are absolutely true. However, we were able to get satellite TV, Wi-Fi bounced in and out but worked, and the traffic on Oak street wasn't an issue. They sprayed a chemical on the road and there was NO dust. We camped at 4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
