Wild Duck Campground & RV Park (Adult Only), Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time at this adult only campground and we really loved it. It's a small, well maintained campground surrounded by the river marsh area. The staff was very friendly, took us to our site and made sure that we were fine with our location. We travel in a 40'- four slide motor coach with an 18' trailer, and we had no problem getting into our site. The site was level and the park was very well maintained. It was quiet and beautiful. The only reason why I didn't give it a rating of a 10 is because you have to pay $1.00 a day for Wifi. An added plus to this campground is it's proximity to Portland as well as Old Orchard Beach. We camped at Wild Duck Campground & RV Park (Adult Only) in a Motorhome.

Searsport Shores Oceanfront Campground, Searsport, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We absolutely loved this campground! If you want to be at a clean, well run campground, with spectacular views of the ocean, this is the one you need to visit. The road into the campground is level, the sites are clean and the bath facilities were recently redone. They have a wonderful play area for children as well as kayak rentals. One of the co-owners has to be the friendliest and most helpful camp owner we have had the good fortune to meet when on the road. One of the mornings we had some rain so our bike trip was delayed. She gave us fabulous recommendations for a museum, lunch and coffee house as well as restaurant choices that we would never have found on our own. We pull our car on an 18' trailer and we had a great spot to unhook and store the trailer while staying here. This is a campground where you can see that the owners care about their place and work very hard to make it a wonderful location for their customers. We will certainly be back on our next trip to Maine! We camped at Searsport Shores Oceanfront Campground in a Motorhome.

Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We love this campground for several reasons. This is a great location if you want to visit Charleston, Kiawah Island or any of the many other towns in this area. The sites are level, very wide and it's very clean. We travel with more than one dog so having a nice dog area is necessary. The large fenced in pet area is fabulous. The staff is friendly and we continue to return here when we are passing through the Charleston area. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Motorhome.
