Wagons West RV Park, Fillmore, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

If you're looking for a Luxury RV Resort, this is not it. But, if you're happy with a laid back basic place to rest for a night or two, this place provides all the necessary services. The spaces are very spacious, the electric is great, sewer hookup is conveniently located, the OTA TV reception is fantastic, WiFi is very good, and the folks running the park are very friendly, and are working hard at sprucing the place up. Highly recommended. We camped at Wagons West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wenatchee River County Park, Monitor, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

On a Saturday morning, we called this Park in a panic. We needed a place to stay to visit nearby friends, and we mistakenly thought we had a reservation at a nearby State Park but the space wouldn't work. When we called, the young lady on duty managed to find space for our 3-day stay, but we would be required to move around. When we arrive later that day she had managed to find us a beautiful spot next to the river and we didn't have to move. The Park is kept impeccably clean and well maintained. The only downside of staying here is the periodic passing train (and whistle), and the nearby highway noise, but you very quickly adjust to this and it isn't bothersome. There is access to the river, and a small sandy beach, but you must be cautious due to the cold fast running water. There is an abundance of shade from large trees, and every site has a picnic table and a fire ring. The Park has a pretty extensive list of Rules which keep the atmosphere enjoyable. We will certainly come back again, likely for a longer visit. We camped at Wenatchee River County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Whidbey Island County Fairgrounds, Langley, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here due to a lack of any other options on So. Whidbey. There are no definitive parking guidelines, just primitive pedestals, which allows people to park anywhere. The field where you park is covered with rabbit pellets, a function of the mass of loose rabbits on the grounds. A 4H function brought people in that created a sardine parking situation, but worse, some people brought their horses into the RV parking area next to the RVs and proceeded to groom their horses in the area with the RVs. Health Dept should visit this site, but it's owned by the county. We camped at Whidbey Island County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Rock Creek RV Park, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on the recommendation of a RV Salesman where we purchased a Travel Trailer (in Filer, ID) so we could shake out any problems before continuing on our trip. The setting was wonderful, with a large fast running creek running through the Park. It was quiet, while being very convenient to shopping, dining, etc. We will make a point of staying here in the future. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here many times over the years in 5W's, MH, and TT. It is a relatively new park, but already there are many permanent residents (around the periphery). The sites are spacious, and are maintained like new. The only problem we have experienced was the rocked parking site softened during the rainy season, but recently it appears they are attempting to reduce this by using a pavement roller to compact the sites. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Suntides Golf Course RV Park, Yakima, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We actually didn't get to stay here, but we've stayed here numerous times in the past. This is the second time we tried to stay here but they were "full". While this is an "RV Park", it's become like so many these days, a relatively inexpensive permanent home for people. There are now very few sites available for travelers, so if you want to stay here make sure you make a reservation far in advance. The low score is due to lack of available "visitor" sites, and the attitude of the manager/owner? The office person used to be very nice, but this is the second time we've encountered this office person and he has no business in the front office. We won't stay here again. With no help from the "manager", we found a space at the Yakima Washington Sportsman's State Park, very nice. We camped at Suntides Golf Course RV Park in a Motorhome.

Eddo's Harbor & RV Park, Rio Vista, California

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park has seen better days, but it appears that the current operators are working at restoring it. There are new restrooms and a small laundry as evidence of this. The biggest attribute this park has is its proximity to the Bay Area. It's about 20 minutes to the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART station where you can be in downtown SF in less than an hour. The driveway entry is very steep, but also quite short. The worst thing about this park is the road leading to it. The road turnoff is about 3 miles from the park. The road is built on old dikes and the pavement condition is terrible and you can't really travel it faster than about 10 MPH. We camped at Eddo's Harbor & RV Park in a Motorhome.

MarDon Resort, Othello, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on the Passport America rate on a Sunday in a 35' motorhome. Although many sites were available, the site (149) we finally chose as the least of all evils wasn't level (our hydraulic jacks couldn't level our coach), although the setting was beautiful with the lake, the park looked very trashy. Their "best site" offered to us turned out to be behind the store/bar, next to the road, and next to the boat ramp, not our kind of site at all. Most sites are very small and pushed together. We wouldn't stay here again. We camped at MarDon Resort in a Motorhome.

Montrose / Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA , Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 6 weeks at the monthly rate. The management, owner, and help were very helpful and friendly. This is the old Montrose KOA so there are also a few camping cabins available. Ideal location, off the highway/streets, minutes to the center of town, great medical services, and pretty much any other kinds of services and shopping you might want. Great pull-throughs for short stays. Only negative experience was a problem with sprinklers watering the RV and car with irrigation water (very bad water spotting), but the owner was working that problem. We'd do both long term and short term stays here again. We camped at Montrose / Black Canyon Nat'l Park KOA in a Motorhome.

Moonlight Lake RV Resort, New Bern, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Passport park but the charge the full rate on Friday & Saturday. Access to the sites is poor, very narrow over drainage pipes, and the soil is very sandy. The sites have a very narrow gravel pad and a picnic table. Access to the pads is over ungraveled soil and a heavy rig can get stuck (we did). No dumpster is provided for garbage, only a large garbage can which was overflowing for several days. Wi-Fi was good at times and not at others, and when the manager left one day it was totally unavailable. We would not stay here again. We camped at Moonlight Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Puyallup Fair Grounds, Puyallup, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are over 50' deep but not wide enough to put slideouts out without encroaching on adjacent sites. Recent management directive is that if you encroach on adjacent sites you will be charged for 2 sites. There are no facilities, only a site to park in. Rate is $20 for drive-in's. $16 rate requires prepayment at Fair office or by credit card. We camped at Puyallup Fair Grounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Boileau's RV Park, Bayview, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $40.00

Waterfront sites are 30Amp and not good swimming sites. Only 5 or 6 shaded sites. Parking area (sites) is an open area surrounded by city streets, thus no privacy or security. We camped at Boileau's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $18.00

$18 rate was Passport America. They limit the number of PA customers depending on availability. They warn you of watering schedules because the irrigation water leaves lots of spots on your rig. Great pool for the kids but not for swimming. We camped at Suncrest RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fidalgo Bay Resort, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Back of park (Bayview section) has a large population of transient workers (oil refinery) that make this more of a "Trailer Park" than an RV Park as a function of the early morning noise and general park appearance (lots of old trailers). Not an attractive place to stay but the proximity to the local bayfront and Thompson Trail (walking and biking) is nice. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
