Alpen Rose RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for local attractions including the world famous Durango railroad. Verizon MI FI card had good reception. No Direct TV due to Mts. Park has cable TV plus 8 channel off the air. Rated park down due to poor maintenance of gravel roads which had holes that quickly filled up with rain water. Would stay here again. We camped at Alpen Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The spot was large enough, no tree limbs, level and easy in and out. The campground had good access to Direct TV satellite and the site afforded good access to a Verizon MI FI Card (Poor reception at best). The RV park has access to fuel . The road is paved). I would stay here again as the park has easy access to local attractions. The roads getting to and from were a bit rough so you will need to watch your speed. If you go on a jeep type tour, take the early morning as it is cooler and make sure and cover your nose with a scarf as there is a lot of blowing red dirt. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Ruby's campground was a good choice as we were visiting as a part of a tour group. Verizon Wireless, and DirecTV worked well from our pull-through site. We had an amazing breakfast at Ruby's restaurant and the gift store was five star. Could not find any negatives except the dirt and gravel driveway and pads. Great location for touring Bryce Canyon Park. We would stay here again. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Wonderland RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderland is graded down for the following reasons. Gravel drive, poor Wi-Fi, poor Verizon reception, posts near drives which are a hazard, apple trees too close (could not put out slides), no stocked camp store. Would be OK as a stop over but very disappointing if you had a long stay. It is amazing how campgrounds advertise big rigs and then plant trees so close that you can barely squeeze in and forget about putting out a awning. Satellite was good as was off the air reception. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Teton Valley RV Park, Victor, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Teton Valley campground is a hidden jewel. The staff is so friendly, the location is perfect for good food and restaurants, and it is the only close campground to the Tetons on the Idaho side. We were in a big rig (43 foot) and had a large pull-through site. The message here, make your reservations early so you can get a premium site. I did have to grade it down a bit because of the gravel pads and streets but we had an almost level site so it didn't matter. Would stay here again. We camped at Teton Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverside Campground & Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We have a 43 foot RV and always like to get big rig sites. The campground is easy on and off and has an automatic signal to get you in and out of the facility. Staff is always friendly. We have stayed there many times and it is a favorite. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

St. Cloud Campground & RV Park, Saint Cloud, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We found this campground to be excellent and is very convenient. We have a 43 foot rig, and we would recommend lot 86 if you have an opportunity to book a specific lot. The staff was very friendly and took us to our site on a golf cart. Good Sam friendly. We camped at St. Cloud Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverside Campground & Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Best choice if you wish to avoid the traffic and congestion of the Gatlinburg area. Cars were bumper to bumper leaving as we drove right into the campground South of I 40. Nice campground close to attractions. Had a concrete slab which helped compensate for the gravel drive. Lot was level with easy access with our 43 foot rig. We made a good choice and would return. Nice not to have the road noise you experience with parks near Interstates. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Bethpage Camp Resort, Urbanna, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Beth Page is a fun destination with many large spacious sites and a lot of activities. However, the catering service food quality needs a lot of improvement. For the second time now, we were very disappointed in the food. This will not impact most of you who attend so have fun. We camped at Bethpage Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Williamsport South / Nittany Mtn. KOA, New Columbia, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I drove my personal vehicle a 25 miles radius of Williamsport PA and Nittany Mountain KOA is clearly the best around. Staff is fantastic, large spacious big rig spots, fire rings, and a well stocked camp store. The campground is close to the interstate and is close to route 15. Make sure you turn on New Columbia as the GPS tries to send you down 3rd street (curvy) Lots of activities and park is well managed and clean. Jewel in the Nittany Mountain area. We camped at Williamsport South / Nittany Mtn. KOA in a Motorhome.

White River Campground, Cicero, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The White River Campground, maintained by the Hamilton County Indiana Parks Department, is a hidden gem and therefore I give it the highest rating. The new concrete pads are super-sized as we have a 43 foot rig. Staff is friendly and the location is perfect as major stores, Walmart and others are just down the road at Noblesville, IN. We camped at White River Campground in a Motorhome.

Sun-N-Fun RV Resort, Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We spent February at the Florida Keys and decided to spend the month of March at Sun N Fun. The campground is truly a five star resort. For example, the new indoor fitness and pool area may be the best in the U.S. Easy in and out, restaurant, bar and lots of activities make Sun N Fun an ideal destination for the family. For those who like Pickleball, there are 6 outdoor and 3 indoor courts. We had a great time and will be back next year. We camped at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Myers Beach RV Resort, Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We visited the Fort Myers Beach RV Resort (ENCORE) as a stop over from the Florida Keys. RV sites are really "tight" in some spots, Wi-Fi was down, office was chaos as several folks were checking in to find out their reservations were lost. Spoke with several folks who have been coming there for years who really like it. We found the traffic terrible getting on and off the island with limited paid parking. Florida has much better stops so I would re command a "pass" on this park. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Twin Lakes RV Park, Davie, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Twin Lakes is exactly the kind of park I always try to avoid. I wished I checked the Park Reviews closer . To begin with, they lost our reservations which were made a year ago, the first spot was a back in and too small. The streets are narrow and difficult to navigate. Lots of noise from the industrial area and airport. Area road construction is a nightmare. Park has more "long term" residents and is not suited for RV travelers. Gate was broken and had we had to rely on a staff member to open the gate after 6 PM. My advise, pass this one up. We camped at Twin Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Coastal Georgia RV Resort, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Coastal RV is easy on and off I-95. The park is well maintained and is close to groceries, pizza and diesel fuel. We took a side trip to Savannah (1 hour North) and was able to drop off our Golden Retriever next door at a vet/day care. We live in NC and will stay at Coastal as we travel between NC and Florida. We camped at Coastal Georgia RV Resort in a Motorhome.
