St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park, Saint Peters, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Newly built park, and welcome change! Shade would be a problem in the summer, as the trees are young. Park itself is well groomed and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bikes and canoes to rent, and nice paved paths around the "lake" (which is about 40 acres). Very quiet and such a nice change from the noise of the city. We camped at St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park in a Motorhome.

RV Express RV Park, Marshfield, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

As others have said, it is an "on and off the road" RV park, but exceptionally clean and surprisingly quiet, given its location! Yes, there is road noise from I-44, but somehow not as bad as other parks we have stayed in next to an interstate! Cement sites, picnic tables, Wi-Fi, easy hook ups, and great cable! Perfect place when you just need to get off of the road, and not have to drive around trying to find a place. We called in advance for a pull through, since it was March, only 4 of the 8 pull through spots were taken. Would stay again, happily. We camped at RV Express RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Really helpful staff, from helping to park, to letting us know what is going on in the area, as well as a better route through Phoenix...(Wish we had known that yesterday!) The park was clean, and the road noise was minimal...Did not know next weekend was a "big one" but even though staff was busy, they took the time to inform us about the area

Triple R Resort RV Park, Crystal City, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The park is beautiful and quiet as can be. It is a wonderful place to spend the night, or even a week I imagine. there is plenty of wild life to watch, and after dark, it is totally quiet! Only downside was that our cable was all fuzz and since we were only staying one night, not really worth trying to string new cable. Also the Tengo wi-fi never did come in, although we tried several times. We didn't call the office about that part, again, as we were only here one night, we didn't care. Would definitely come here again! We camped at Triple R Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Canyon Lake RV Resort (55+ park), Mission, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a friendly park. There is as much, or as little, to do as you choose. There are activities every day, although some are not well attended. The "Quilting" is actually assembling quilt tops in a group for a charity for Mexico...Not a bad plan at all....just not "quilting". The other listed "sewing group" doesn't exist this year....I was disappointed as those were 2 of the reasons I chose this park. The staff is incredibly friendly, the facilities are clean, and the 10 acre lake is a nice visual. The shuffle boards are not level, but if you just want to play around, they are fine. The pool was clean and warm, as well as the Hot Tub. All in all, a good value, and a nice park. We camped at Canyon Lake RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Gateway to the Gulf RV Park & Campground, Victoria, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This park is clean, friendly, and well managed. We had planned to stay only one night, and stretched it into two. The managers were on site, and led us to our pull through site. Instead of the usual stones in this Texas park, they actually beautiful well manicured grass at your site. We camped at Gateway to the Gulf RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Winton Woods Campground, Cincinnati, Ohio

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and level pull through. There was a patio, but unfortunately covered with goose droppings all over the patio and roads. Can walk to the water, and the park itself is really nice. Many paved areas you can ride bike and walking trails. Will stay there again...and bring a broom! We camped at Winton Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Lazy Acres RV Park, Lenoir City, Tennessee

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Great little park, very quiet and very clean. The site was clean and level. We stayed in site 25 across from the laundry-mat and showers. Not the best spot, as it is open 24 hours, and people were coming and going from there all night. The park itself is laid out great, but would choose a different spot next time we come through. We camped at Lazy Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Toulouse-Fort Jackson State Historic Site, Wetumpka, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful (and at this time of year) very quiet park. We have seen all varieties of birds, squirrels, and even an armadillo over our coffee this morning! The only downside is that the water pressure is very low, and there is not septic, only a dump station. TV reception is pretty good, ATT is about 1/2 bars most of the time. We camped at Fort Toulouse-Fort Jackson State Historic Site in a Motorhome.

Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We are staying a month ($1,008). Very nice park with workers everywhere to answer questions, and help you in any way they can. Park is well groomed, offers inside pool and outside pool, as well as activities and activity room. Well groomed lots, where you can choose how close to the Gulf you want to be (Including sites right on the beach). Definitely worth the money! We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.

Geronimo RV Resort, Destin, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Well kept quiet park. Has about 30 sites and all are cement pads and patios. The owners are very friendly and more than willing to help. I thought the price ($330 per week) was high considering there was no pool or clubhouse. Considering it is close to main roads, it is surprising how very quiet the park is. It is a great place to stop and rest a while, but really has no amenities to spend very much time there. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Meaher State Park, Spanish Fort, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful quiet setting. We were parked right up on Mobile bay. Lots of space between sites, and lots of tall pines for shade. There wasn't much area to ride bikes though, just a loop around the park a few times. The road in front is very busy, and not bike friendly. Would, however be happy to go there again while visiting the area. We camped at Meaher State Park in a Motorhome.

Mounds State Park, Anderson, Indiana

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful state park! Spacious lots, walking trails everywhere. A little hard to maneuver with our toad around the sharp corners to get to the campground area. Since it is off season, they come to you to collect the night's fees which are very reasonable. Tables and fire rings were provided. Only drawback was the sound of the trains in the night, which was every few hours. We camped at Mounds State Park in a Motorhome.
