Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort, Sisters, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

This has to be the nicest rv park we have ever stayed in! And we have stayed in many parks! Check in was easy and we were escorted to our site. All the roads and sites are paved and there is nice grass at each site with pavers under the picnic table. There are trees and gardens everywhere, as well as a pretty little lake. All areas of the park are very well kept. The site was level and the hook ups are in a decorative pedestal. We didn't use the bathrooms, but the laundry room was nice and clean. The pool area was nice as well. We don't have a dog, but noticed lots of grassy areas for dog walking. We will definitely stay here again! We camped at Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sherman County RV Park, Moro, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is not much of a park, but it was perfect for what we needed! We had been driving more hours than normal because of smoke from fires. We wanted a place to spend the night that had 50 amp service so we could use our air conditioning. The man on the phone was very nice and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. It's not a place I would stay long term, but like I said, it was perfect for what we needed! We camped at Sherman County RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oxbow RV Resort, Penticton, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We have been on the road in our motor home for four months and have been warmly greeted by so many rv parks in Canada and Alaska. When we arrived at Oxbow RV park instead of a warm welcome, we were greeted with a lecture because we had the audacity to arrive at 12:05 and check in was at 1:00 which they didn't tell us when we made the reservation. We almost left and went elsewhere, but decided to go ahead and stay. The park is fine, site was a little tight and very difficult to get out of. There are a lot of trees which make it quite pretty, but a little messy. We couldn't get our cable to work so we went to the office and were informed that we had to get a box from them - you'd think they might have told us that at check in. I think the people who own this park may be in the wrong business! We camped at Oxbow RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cottonwood Cove RV Resort (formerly Cottonwood Family Campground), Scotch Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

This an ok rv park at a nice location on the beach of the Shuswap Lake. It is way overpriced for what you get. The sites are gravel with some grass. The site we were booked into was impossible for our 40 foot motor home to fit into. Luckily they had one available that we moved to. The pool is very small and had no lounges. I guess we just expected more for an rv park that is booked as a resort and charges $68 per night. It was a bit shabby looking with lots of weeds. We were given paper work that said we could purchase our site for $215,000! I don't think so!! We camped at Cottonwood Cove RV Resort (formerly Cottonwood Family Campground) in a Motorhome.

MamaYeh RV Park, Prince George, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is definitely a work in progress. The sites were level with good hook ups and nice greenery between spacious sites. The wifi worked great and the host was wonderful. You really need to be self contained to stay here, because there are no restrooms, just a few port a potties. It is a beautiful park like setting. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We only over nighted here, but found it to be a great rv park. The sites were level and the hook ups good. We pulled through and didn't have to unhook our tow car. Sites were roomy with trees and bushes in between. They have a nice little pool. We camped at Brookside Campsite in a Motorhome.

Fort Telkwa Riverfront RV Campground, Telkwa, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park right on the river. The sites are pull in so they face the river and the view is great. Our site was level and hookups were good. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms and laundry room were immaculate. They have a high pressure rv and car wash and it is free!! The only negative, and we weren't bothered by it, is that it is on the road so there is a little road noise, and there is a train that goes by occasionally on the other side of the river. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Fort Telkwa Riverfront RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park with beautiful views of the mountains. The sites are all grass so pretty clean compared to the dirt and gravel sites that most of the Alaska RV parks have. Close to the town of Palmer. Laundry room was clean and reasonably priced. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great location on the water on the spit in Homer. The sites are gravel with tables and a fire pit. Good 50 amp hook ups, water and sewer. We pulled in straight facing the water, had a great view of bay, mountains and glaciers. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park run by a great family. We stayed in the super size pull through which was a bit pricey, but had lots of room and grass. The family provided a salmon bake pot luck one night and set us up with a great fishing guide. We camped at Diamond M Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Seward Waterfront Park, Seward, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We loved the location of this park! The sites are pretty close together and just gravel, but it is right on Resurrection Bay and there is a bike/walk path right in front along the water. Each site has a large fire pit right out overlooking the water. We pulled straight in and had a beautiful view out our front window. It is within walking distance of the downtown area. We camped at Seward Waterfront Park in a Motorhome.

Rays for dinner was great. The Major Marine Kenai Fjords all day trip was amazing, and the all you can eat salmon and prime rib lunch they served on board was delicious. There are nice shops downtown. This is a first come first serve park so if you don't get the site you like just watch for people to leave in the morning and put your tag and a chair in the spot to hold it until you can move your RV in. The Sealife center was worth the visit.

Trapper Creek Inn & RV Park, Trapper Creek, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very pretty little park with lots of trees. It's right on the highway, but the road noise was not a problem. We wanted to be closer to Talkeetna, but after we stayed here we decided this was better because we just drove the car into Talkeetna, which is about 30 miles, instead of driving the RV all the way. When we leave we will already be on the road out! The sites are very long, level and have full hook ups even 50 amp which isn't that common in Alaska. We were even guided into our site by the wonderful camp host, Leroy. We really enjoyed our stay here! We camped at Trapper Creek Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

The town of Talkeeta is very cute with lots of shops and restaurants. You will pass the Denali Brewery on the way and it is definitely worth a stop, especially if it's a Wednesday when the taco truck is there - great tacos!! The ranger station in town is worth a visit - it's where the climbers check in when they are going to climb Mt. Denali. We had lunch at the Denali Brewing Co restaurant the next day and had a great meal.

Overall Rating:

This was the only RV park that had availability and it wasn't our first choice, because it is a little further from the park entrance. But, we are so happy that we stayed here! If you want hook ups or you are unable to get into the park campgrounds, this is the best place! The sites are roomy and have bushes and trees, and a great view. It is only about 8 miles from the visitor center at Denali NP. The people who checked us in were extremely friendly and helpful. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

We took the Eilson visitor center guided bus tour. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. The visitor center has a great exhibit. We also had a great presentation at the science center. The shops in town are fun to visit, with a lot of authentic Alaskan art. The 49th State Brewery in nearby Healy is a great place to visit - great beer and food!

This is a very nice park located right on the Chena River. It was nice to have a little grass at our site! There is a great walking/ bike path from the RV park and a nice path to walk along the river. Full hook ups worked great. The cable didn't work and we kept being told that it would be fixed tomorrow, but it never was. The laundry room is quite large and well kept. We camped at River's Edge Resort in a Motorhome.

Fairbanks is a very nice, clean town. Unfortunately, we also discovered that they have a wonderful hospital! Visiting the hospital was not on our agenda, but we sure were glad that when we needed it we were close to a good one and all is well! We took the riverboat Discovery trip and it was fantastic! We also visited the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum. We have been to many auto museums and this was the best! Lots of beautiful cars and antique clothes!
