Logan / Hocking Hills KOA , Logan, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great campground. Camp host could not have been nicer. The site was large for a KOA. The red rock patio was great. The kids loved the pool and game room. Normally we don't use the game room but theirs is the best we have seen: it is in a big building with the big garage-like doors open to make you feel like you still part of the out doors. This was great after a day of hiking. The campground is nicely landscaped. We will definitely return! We camped at Logan / Hocking Hills KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Shelby / Mansfield KOA, Shelby, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was an excellent campground. We stayed on their 40th year in business and went to their "birthday party" which was a free chicken & rib dinner (very nice)! It has typical KOA sites that are small; however, our site was quite large for a KOA. They do charge for extras (paddle boats, putt putt, etc.), but we expected that. Those are the down sides, if you can even call them that. The campground is meticulously clean, every staff person was friendly, and there was a lot to do for the kids. They even had a wine and cheese party for the adults. My daughter and son want to make it a annual camping trip, which we plan on doing. All in all had a great time. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Mantua, Mantua, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We camp here once a year, my kids love it! Yes it is expensive, but they do have a lot for the kids to do. The pool is great and the kids love the big sand pile at the beach. They now have water inflatables at the beach. The sites are close together, but we don't camp here for the camping experience we camp here for the kids. It is also very close to Geauga Lake. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort at Mantua in a Travel Trailer.

East Harbor State Park, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We camp here at least 2 to 3 times a year. The bathrooms are ok. The sites are close together but if you get a cul de sac site they are quite large. They have great walking trails along the water. There is also a lot to do in the area, it is a great base camp. We camped at East Harbor State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Smith's Pleasant Valley Campground, Loudonville, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A great family park. The sites on the river are fantastic. The kids loved the playground and pool. The best part is being on the river and being able to see the people just float by you. The store was great for the kids and it also faces the river. I can not say enough about the owners and the staff they were very helpful and friendly. The only down side is the Pit toilets, but they were clean and freshly painted. Did not use the shower house while there, but it looked decent. We will be going back. We camped at Smith's Pleasant Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.
