Antelope Valley RV Park, Delta, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park layed out in a triangle shape. Streets are paved & sites are gravel. Most sites are back in, but there are 5-6 pull thrus for overnighters. All back in sites have a concrete pad for a patio or parking space. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the water connections are located in the RV parking area. There is sufficient room for the rv between the concrete pad & the water connection. Wifi worked well. Laundry has 2 washers & 2 dryers. Cost is $1.00 to wash & $1.00 to dry. No cable tv, but we received all network channels in HD with antenna pointed to 75*. Park hosts are very friendly & helpful. We will definitely stay here again when in this area. Rate reflects Coast to Coast discount. We camped at Antelope Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside RV and Campground, Provo, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Entrance is just past a slight right hand curve of the road. Trees on the right make it hard to see the entrance until you are there. Look for a yellow sign on a pole warning of the upcoming entrance. Two sites share a common set of utility hookups. This means that slides can be rather close when extended. This also means that you share a common yard area with your other neighbor. Utilities worked well. WiFi was weak & disconnected quite often. Cable tv had 36 analog channels, but no sports channels. It rained 2 of the 3 days we camped here. There was a lot of water standing at the front & rear of our site. The staff was friendly at check in. We camped at Lakeside RV and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Batise Springs RV Park, Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This park is located about 3 miles west of Pocatello. It is far enough off of I-86 that we heard no road noise. We did hear distant train horns sometimes at night. All sites are gravel covered pull thrus that are long enough to park the tow vehicle or toad. The park DOES NOT have cable tv. We were able to get all network channels except Fox with our roof top antenna. WiFi was usually good, however, it would sometimes lose the signal. The office staff said the wind caused the problem. Bath house had one men's & one women's restroom. There was also one shower room. The laundry room contained one washer & one dryer. Fee was $1.00 to wash & $1.00 to dry. Staff was friendly & helpful. Office opens at 2 pm. We would stay again. Rate is based on a one week stay. We camped at Batise Springs RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pony Express Motel and RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Check in is at the Brandin' Iron Motel. This park has the narrowest sites of any park we have ever stayed in. We could not back in to our site due to a low tree limb. We had to pull in(& back out) over the curb from the street. Our site(#4) only had 30 amp service. We were usually able to park on the street directly behind our site. Utility connections were convenient & worked fine. Cable tv had 15 channels, but no NBC. Wifi was very unreliable at our site, but worked well in or near the lobby of the Brandin' Iron Motel. Location was very convenient to downtown. Although this seems to be the most reasonably priced park in town, I'm not sure I would return. We camped at Pony Express Motel and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ponderosa Campground, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Be alert or you may pass the campground. They do not have a large overhead sign on the street. The only sign I saw were letters leaned against a fence facing the street. Going west on Eight Street, after you pass the Dairy Queen (on the right), the main entrance will be the second entrance on the right. The northern section of the park contains the pull thru sites with little shade. The southern section contains backin sites with many large shade trees. The sewer connection at our backin site was located at the extreme rear of the site. Water & electric were located at the side of the site. Wifi & cable(analog) tv worked well. Staff was friendly & helpful. They allowed us to go over one site due to low hanging limbs. We would stay here again when in Cody. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Used this campground for a 1 night stay. Check in was easy & we were escorted to our pull thru site. It was long & level so we didn't unhook. Wifi worked well. Cable tv also worked fine. Staff was friendly & helpful. We would stay again if ever in Buffalo. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rushmore Shadows RV Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large park with 2 sections & all paved roads. Older section of the park is mostly gravel covered backin sites. This section is located further from Hwy 16. We had no road noise at our site in the older section. The newer section is closer to Hwy 16 & has all concrete pads & most sites are pull thru. In the older section, some of the backin sites are arranged so that the sites back up to each other. The utility connections at these sites are placed between the sites at the rear of the campers. This makes for some long water & sewer runs. All utilities worked well. Laundry was $2.00 to wash & $2.00 to dry. There is a very nice 18 hole mini golf course. No cable tv, but many over the air channels. Wifi worked well at our site. The location was very convenient to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, & Custer State Park. Staff was friendly & helpful. Rate reflects Coast to Coast discount. We will definitely stay here again when in this area. We camped at Rushmore Shadows RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rondee's Campground, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is located behind the Days Inn. The road (S. Burr St.) in front of the Days Inn is under major construction, which makes the entry to the campground a little tricky. The campground office is located behind the Days Inn, but does not open until 3 pm. This is just a basic campground suffering from neglect. A little clean up & grass mowing would help. Most sites are pull thrus & the utilities worked well. The cable tv can only be used with a $100.00 deposit for a cable box that has to be connected to your tv. The problem with this system is that you must return the cable box the day prior to departure in order to get your deposit back. Over the air tv is limited to just one NBC station. Use of the indoor pool at the Days Inn does not come with your campsite, but can be purchased for $5.00. We might return for an overnight stop because of the 25% Escapees discount. We camped at Rondee's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cutty's Okoboji Resort Club, Spirit Lake, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground with gated entrance & exit. Mostly pull thru sites. Best HD cable tv we've ever had at an rv park. Amenities include indoor pool, horseshoes, shuffleboard, sand volleyball, mini golf, playground, & game room in Welcome Center. There is also a grille in the Welcome Center that serves a limited menu for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Prices are reasonable & food was good. Wifi was very good, but only available in the clubhouse. Water & electric hookups were near the center of the site, but the sewer connection was closer to the rear of the site. Each site had a portable grill & aluminum picnic table on a concrete patio. Our only negative comment concerns a tree near the right front of our site that would have been a very close call if we would have had to exit to our right. Luckily, the site in front of us was empty & we were able to pull through it on our way out. Staff was friendly & helpful. One of the best C2C parks we have been in. We will definitely return when in this. We camped at Cutty's Okoboji Resort Club in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Shore RV Resort, Oelwein, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean park. There are many seasonal campers here, but no clutter on any sites. The owners are on site & take great pride in their park. Most sites are back in & long enough to remain hooked up if only staying overnight. Water & electric are located at the rear of most sites. Sewer connections are located on the side of the sites. This is a very family friendly park that offers a sand beach & swimming area on the adjoining lake. They also have a canoe & kayaks that guest can use on the lake. There is also a marked sand area for volleyball or badminton, & a playground for the kids. Bathrooms & laundry are clean. Laundry has 2 washers & 2 dryers. Cost is $2.00 per load & you pay in the office. Wifi worked better in the mornings & slowed during the day. It was very slow on the weekends when the park was full. No cable tv, but plenty of OTA channels with antenna pointed @ 170*. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere & will definitely return when in this area. Rate reflects Coast to Coast price + $5.00 daily energy charge. We camped at Lake Shore RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hickory Hollow Campground, Utica, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Only stayed one night & had a long pull thru. Site was high in front, so we had to unhook from the fifth wheel(no problem). Office building contained check in, a few food & rv supplies, and a game room. Bathroom & showers were on the back side of the building & were clean. TV reception OTA was very poor. We could only get one Fox station! Staff was very friendly & helpful. We would probably stay again for a one night stay. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

White River Campground, Cicero, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Hamilton County park with concrete sites & roads. Our site was a back-in on the rear loop of the campground. Our site was just long enough for our 34' fifth wheel & allow us to park in front. Some sites are shorter. It would be nice if the road in the rear loop was a little wider. There were several sites with deep holes next to the road from previous vehicles backing in to sites. Most sites seem to share a hookup for electric & water. We observed many people pull into the site so the hookups would be on the proper side. We spent a week here & saw many vacant sites during the week. However, on the weekend, the park completely filled up. Use caution when driving thru the park on weekends because there are kids everywhere. The camp hosts do try to enforce the 5 mph speed limit. The park sits right next to the White River & mosquitoes were out in force during our stay. The shower house is at the front of the park. There are restrooms at the rear of the park, but no showers. TV reception OTA was fine, but the wifi was slow & next to unusable on the weekend. We would use this campground again, but would probably try to avoid the weekend. We camped at White River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice & well kept municipal park. Most sites are back-in, but there is one row of pull thru sites. Bath house is very nice & clean & also has some vending machines. Park is located about 1.5 miles east of I-75 just out of town. Access was very easy & there was no road noise. Sites are first come, first served. There were many sites available on the Monday night we were here, however it might be hard to get a site on the weekends. Camp host was very nice & helpful with self check in. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Ottawa Metro Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean park with 3-4 different camping areas. The short term area consists of both pull thru & back-in sites. Sites are level & gravel covered. Utility hookups are well positioned. There is no bath house. Laundry contains only 2 washers & 2 dryers. We found the best tv reception with the antenna pointed to 20*. The staff was very friendly & helpful. North Fork Resort, Front Royal, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older Campground. It covers a large area & has 5-6 seperate camping areas. The entrance is at the top of a hill, then you go down a long hill to the camping areas. We were in section 3 in a pull thru site. The sites on this row were terraced up from the road, which made the rear of our fifth wheel about 3 1/2' off the ground. The bath house for section C also contains a laundry with 5 washers & 5 dryers. It cost $2.00 to wash & $2.00 to dry. Two washers were out of order during our stay. The bath house was dated, but the lavatories & showers were clean. The pools were large & clean. The Family Center (rotunda) has a tv room with satellite tv. It also has a billiard room & a game/craft room. Due to the location in the river bottom, OTA tv reception is very poor. We were only able to get 2 channels, an ABC station from Harrisonburg & a PBS station. Wifi was barely useable early mornings, but was very slow & inadequate the rest of the day. The picnic tables need the wood replaced on the tops & seats. The staff was friendly & helpful. Rate is Coast to Coast.. We camped at North Fork Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
