Hummingbird Cove RV Park and Mobile Home Park (55+ park), Rio Hondo, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Unless you are a single hardcore fisherperson, this is not your park. Interior roads are deteriorating. Sites are grass and gravel and not level. 20 miles to most shopping. Management is either inept or incompetent. The manager modifies the rules for her favorites and holds everyone else to them. Lots of gossip and cliques. The owners don't seem to care about more than superficial improvements to the campground We camped at Hummingbird Cove RV Park and Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Sandy Lake RV Park, Carrollton, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We spent a week at Sandy Lake RV Park. The staff was friendly and helpful. The streets as well as the sites are narrow. The majority of the sites seemed to be permanents. The dog run was actually an unfenced drainage ditch next to a busy road which was extremely difficult to use. There was an area which could be used for pet exercise, but it was hard to get to. We won’t be staying here again. We camped at Sandy Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is good for resting a few days. All the utilities including Wi-Fi worked fine. Close to town. Gravel drive and sites are grass and gravel. At our site we had some road noise. We will return. Some amenities could use updating, but management attitudes were very positive. We camped at Country Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gowrie City RV Park, Gowrie, Iowa

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a city park with full hookups. The sites are back-in, but fairly level. View out the rear window is buildings. No showers or restrooms we were aware of. A nice city park is right out the front door. There is a large grass area for dog walking. Well worth the price. We camped at Gowrie City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

J.B.'s RV Park & Campground, Benton, Arkansas

Overall Rating:

We stayed one night while traveling. Easy on & off from I-30. Grass and gravel roads & sites. Large trees blocked most of the traffic noise so not a problem. No Wi-Fi or cable TV. Our site was fairly level. Restrooms & showers needed updating, but were clean. We would stay here again. We camped at J.B.'s RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
