New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The park is on the east end of the city with easy access from I-80. The roads are all paved. The Pull thru's are paved the back in's are gravel. There are more back-ins than pull thru's. The back-ins are angled making them easier. All the sites have nice spacing and are long with wih room. There are several small rental house's in some areas of the park. but not mixed with rv spots. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The park is in the city, near a lake and shopping. The roads are all paved and the sites are cement. The sites are long mostly pull thru's. there is artificial turf between the sites. It is convenient to Reno area with easy access from I-80. The Wifi is the best we have seen in an RV park, that alone would bring me back if in the area. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hat Creek Hereford Ranch RV Park & Campground, Hat Creek, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a small park in the trees. The sites are scattered among the trees so they are varying sizes in both length and width. The park has a great outdoor woods landscape view. It is a long driveway to get into the park form the highway. The GPS may not take you to the correct place look for the sign to the park. Very friendly and nice people. It is a great relaxing park. We camped at Hat Creek Hereford Ranch RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Win-River Casino, Redding, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The park is at a casino. It is small with all pull throughs. The sites are close together and all the utilities in the center. All the utilities worked great. The park is fine for big rigs. It is cement with asphalt on the rest of the approaches. There is no grass or landscaping. however the around the outside is grass and shrubbery. The casino food that we had was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a shuttle service form the park back to the hotel area to register. There are security lights at night. They have security patrols consistently through out the day. Being small reservation should be made to assure a spot. We camped at Win-River Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Pioneer RV Park, Quincy, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park The owners are very helpful and nice. It has the feel of a family park the owners make you feel very welcome and they appreciate the camper. It is an older park but well maintained and is no problem for big rigs. The sites vary in length but all have good distance between sites. The roads are paved as are some of the sites. The grounds are kept cut trimmed and clean. The sites are cleaned, tables and utilities are wiped down after every departure. All the utilities worked well. It is a popular park and I can see why. It is not a fancy resort but it has all the amenities and a beautiful park in the woods. It will become one of our favorite parks. We will return again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

The park has pull-throughs and back-ins some to the sites are small but most are big enough for any size RV. The roads are all gravel an easy to maneuver. The office has a store with limited items. The owners are very nice and helpful. Overall a good place to stay in the area, the only negative is the mosquitoes are terrible, but this is not the parks fault it just the area. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Winnemucca I-80 KOA, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park appears to have not been maintained, but now they are catching up and making nice progress in cleaning the park. The sites are a little close, but they have landscape timbers outlining the sites an these can be a problem when entering or exiting the sites with a longer unit. The staff was great and working everyday on the park. Reasonable priced for a KOA. Over all a good place to stay when in the area. We camped at Winnemucca I-80 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Jeremy's 1896 Public House in Prosser was a great place to eat. The fish and chips were some of the best we have had. Services was great and the history of the building was very interesting.

Spokane KOA, Spokane Valley, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

It is a older park well maintained, the interior roads are gravel as are the sites. There is grass between the sites. all the utilities worked fine. maneuvering with a bigger(longer) unit is tight. The Premium sites have cement borders that are can interfere with the entrance and exit to the site with a longer rig. Some sites were close together others were very spacious. The staff was great and very accommodating. Outside of the difficult time getting in to the site it was good place and worked for us. We camped at Spokane KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is all paved with cement sites. The sites are wide and long. There are mostly pull troughs. The park is easy to move around with any size rig. The sites have hook-ups on both sides of the sites so you can choose which way you want to come into the site. The pool is indoor. The workers are nice and helpful. Highly recommend this park if you are in the area. We camped at Hells Canyon Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an overnight stay and the park fit that just fine. The sites are close and all gravel. They have various size pull troughs some are long enough to stay hooked up others are not. The people are friendly. There are many longer term people at the park but the park is clean and well kept. We camped at Black Rabbit RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
