Salt Creek Recreation Area, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Incredibly beautiful setting. Great views of San Juan de Fuca, 5 stairways to tidal pools, short hiking trails, whale watching. The Rangers were friendly and helpful. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed at. We camped at Salt Creek Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

RV Ranch at Grand Junction, Clifton, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The trains rumbled by all night long. They have a nice looking pool but no one was in it and the lady at the front desk told us it wasn't warm enough to swim in. Many of the spots are very close together, vegetation is lacking and there are many permanent residents giving this place an unsavory feel. Two out of three showers were not working in the men's restroom. We would not stay here again. We camped at RV Ranch at Grand Junction in a Motorhome.

Whittington Woods Campground, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here April 19, 2016. Very nice wooded site, no junk around, quiet except for train noise which though not close woke my husband up a few times. I thought it was fine and ok. Sites were gravel and some were a little close , that is why I rated it an 8. It has a pool( not open this time of year) and a dog run . It is like camping in the woods and the owners are nice. We will stay here again, my husband agrees. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Good pull through sites up from for those traveling through. Kind of close but not bad gravel sites. Better sites in the back for those staying awhile. Those sites had picnic tables. Nice clean pool. Did not have time to use it, so don't know if it was warm. We camped at Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA in a Motorhome.

High Springs Campground, High Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We paid our money and were led to the site over horrible roads. The site had junk around it, a trailer on blocks, several fires already going, a tent camper right next to us, basically 5 feet from the hood of our coach. We hooked up and realized we could never stay here. Though the owners were nice, the condition of the place, with junk around and people milling about, made us feel unsafe. We unhooked and pulled out and drove away. Would not stay in this place if they paid us. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Casey Jones RV Park, Lake City, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great overnight stay. Big spaces, and the owners are very helpful. There is highway noise but no hill, so no engine brake noise, so it is just a constant noise, not a problem. This isn't a resort, but a good safe place to stay. An alarm went off at 10 PM. I called the office about it, they answered the phone and got the alarm shut down shortly. This is a 10 if what you want is an overnight stay in the Lake City area. We camped at Casey Jones RV Park in a Motorhome.

Casey Jones RV Park, Lake City, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We had a view of an overflowing dumpster from our motorhome window. No fence screen around the dumpster . Streets are not paved and you camp on grass/mud. The dirt gets all over your shoes. No picnic tables, no amenities. Used to have a pond that now has a chain link fence around it with no water , it's just a big hole. Many permanents and considerable tackiness. A guy was sitting in his underwear this morning when I walked the dog. The ladies room I checked out had just one shower and one of two lights would not come on. We will never stay here again. It was disgusting. We camped at Casey Jones RV Park in a Motorhome.

Outdoor Resorts - Melbourne Beach, Melbourne Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

The individual sites are very narrow . No privacy. Owners as a whole do not take care of their sites. Junky appearance of sites in many places. There is a large sewage plant on the north side if the park. For two days now the very strong smell of that plant has pervaded the park. I asked several residents about it. This happens many times throughout the year. They said it does not happen as much as it used to. On the plus side the common facilities are very nice. There is a pool on the beach and a nice sized lap pool on the river. I swim laps and did so in the river pool. Very clean. Also very cold, even for a lap swimmer. Children would freeze in these pools- maybe that's the point. I did not see one child in any of the pools. We camped at Outdoor Resorts - Melbourne Beach in a Motorhome.

Silver Lakes RV & Golf Resort, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Our stay was excellent. Lots to do in the park, active sports groups etc. Also close to other activities outside the park. Only negatives were that they weren't keeping the pools as clean as they had in the past. Although they don't ban children this is clearly a park for older active adults. There are no playground facilities We camped at Silver Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.
