They list themselves as an RV campground but they are better then most 'resorts' we've stayed at. The entire campground is spotless. Pool is large and nice chairs and tables, 2 very nice rec areas, in winter they have a lot of activities, functioning and clean laundry area and the restroom/showers are large and immaculate. And no' no seeums'. Convenient to a lot of shopping and resturants. We will stay here again. Rate reflects monthly rate + electric.

FL citizen Sr. rate. Park is beautiful 'Olde Florida' type park. Some sites huge. Almost all shaded dirt and shells, a few paved but are supposed to be handicapped. Park rangers and volunteers are fantastic, they take a lot of pride in the park and it shows. Showers and restrooms are spotless, even the older ones. Make sure to see the museum and CCC projects and take the trails, they're great, also very well kept and wide. Very relaxing. Will be back soon!

Rate reflects FL SR citizen. We stayed at Big Flats area, the older RV area. Still great but the newer Palmetto Ridge will appeal to the BIG motorhomes and 5ers. Full hookups, including sewer. Our favorite is still Big Flats and we were not disappointed. Rangers to volunteers are what makes this whole park great. Will stay here again and again.

Would have rated much higher if we had stayed in pull-through area but we stayed in the 'standard' area. If you are over 30 feet, DON'T.The sites are in amongest park models and are tight. The pull-through (new) area is very nice for a few bucks more. Clubhouse, pool area, shuffle board areas are great. Laundry is good. We would stay here again in the pull-through area!

Price is with no discounts, forgot to renew our Passport America! But this park is one of our favorites as the owners are so nice and accomodating and the park is very nice, clean and neat. They told me of a "SnowBird Special" they are running at $175 a month + electric! Wow, what a deal! Call for details. we may come back over for a month or so as they are close to Panama City.

One of our top five parks in the U.S. Gorgeous, peaceful, very shady setting on the Tombigbee River. Good sized sites, paved and level with pull thrus having best river view and the backins are tucked into the forest. It is a COE campground with great volunteers keeping the entire place spotless. Nice hiking trails lead away from campground with a nice kids playground. Our second trip and we'll be back soon for at least a week!

This is a small, extremely well run county campground. Gravel and pine needle sites, heavily shaded sites, reasonably level with picnic tables, fire rings garbage cans and nice charcoal grill/smokers. A few long termers/workers, but nice. A view of the lake and very clean showers and restrooms. Looking forward to coming here again. This is our 2nd visit here.

Last time we stayed here in 2011 we gave the park an 8 but it has declined considerably. Rest room/showers were filthy, sites needed to be picked up after, and asphalt sites needed to be re-leveled. Noted that there was no camp host and did not look like there had been one for awhile. This is a beautiful setting and hopefully will be cleaned up.

Off US Hwy 70 behind a great steakhouse by same name (open Fri and Sat only). Clean, wide grass and gravel sites with Mesquite trees (not much shade). Note: there are NO showers or rest rooms. Call ahead to see if they have any space as there is nothing else close by and they occassionally fill with workers. Cash only. Managers are very nice and helpful. Actual address is 10085 W Hwy 70, email: hannon11@hotmail.com

Nice little park to explore the area. Clean, level, gravel and dirt sites. Long pull throughs with convenient utilities. Not a lot of shade but grass between nice wide sites with plenty of room for slide outs. Restaurant across street (Freds) is great with New Mexican and American food. Full service bar has beautiful old bar and backbar. See museum, half block away, also. We look forward to returning.

The VIEW!!!! Small park with a few monthlies that are very friendly. Sites are gravel with easy hookups. Spotless large restrooms and showers, nice laundry room and a large salt water swimming pool. Spa wiring got struck by lightning earlier this year, but pool is great. Staying for a month and may extend. Not a mega resort, just a clean and friendly campground.

The road in and out is a real tricky one, slow and easy. You're dropping to sea level here folks; those are mountains you came from! This is as rugged a get-away-from-it-all campground as you will find with accessability. A gorgeous BLACK SAND beach, nice owner, great fishing and tremendous beach combing and birding. Stayed a week and HAD to leave but WILL return. If you are into remote beaches, THIS IS IT and fairly easy to get to.

Very clean, nicely landscaped RV Park. Sites are level though a little narrow and close. Otherwise, it would have been a 10. Concrete with picnic table and a tree. Back ins actually a little wider and seem to be further apart. Pool, spa, laundry, and all common areas are spotless. Nice central start for all the attractions in area. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice state park. Sites are pretty level. If using a pull through, go in the wrong way as water and electric are on the wrong side. All RV sites are long and the RV/tent sites have a nice sandy area for tents. Only 6-7 sites occupied the night we stayed and it doesn't get a lot of usage. Don't know why, as it has very interesting ruins and all trails are well marked. Rangers and camp host very well informed and helpful. Looking forward to returning.

Lots of Cottonwoods for shade in middle area; outside has sites for satellite users. Sites are all paved and very level. Some pull throughs and some sites can handle some big rigs. Clean restrooms with no showers. Dump site available and water fill. Great stay to see Canyon de Chelly. Will stay here again.
