Tall Pines Campground, Canoeing & Country Store, Bainbridge, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

I read the other reviews before booking at this campground. We were intrigued by its location to the river and the ability to canoe here. I should have paid more attention to one reviewer from Sept. 2016 who described it accurately. It had rained before our arrival and it was very muddy. Thank goodness that we stepped out onto a concrete pad that was our patio. We asked for an escort and did get one - a good thing, because getting in was tight. Once parked, we were backed up to the river, which was pleasant. I think they have improved the electrical connections as ours was 50 amp and the post looked new. We had hoped to go canoeing, but after talking to the owner, we went away totally confused about whether or not she would do the canoe trip the next day. (their literature states you have until 10am to decide, not so) The weather was too iffy to plan that far ahead. There is very little to do in the area and the campground office did not have any biking, hiking or historical information available. More rain was in the forecast, so we left one day earlier than we had planned. We would probably not return. Not really big rig friendly. We camped at Tall Pines Campground, Canoeing & Country Store in a Motorhome.

Chautauqua Lake KOA , Dewittville, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We were in the newer area which seems to be the area for daily campers, rather than seasonals. Most of the sites here are pull throughs. Our site was not long enough for our coach and car, but there were plenty of other sites that were longer. It was gravel and not quite level. We stayed for a week, so unhooking was not a problem. There is lots to do in the area, with state parks and Lake Erie nearby. We camped at Chautauqua Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi at Shangri-La, Milton, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with a previous reviewed that the access road into the campground is very narrow and full of potholes. It is definitely a one lane road. We had site #205, which was a back in site that was dirt and gravel, but level. We had adequate space between our site and the next one. It was quiet during the week, but the weekend is for children. We did some touring around the local area, so did not just sit at the camp. We had some problems with our TV reception and the staff went above and beyond to help us figure out the problem - which was with us, not the campground. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi at Shangri-La in a Motorhome.

Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The sites have adequate space. Our site was not level and it had been a rainy time and the site was quite wet. Some difficulty leveling. The laundry was one of the cleanest and most reasonable I have encountered. A lot of the staff seemed to be pleasant, but poorly trained High School/College kids. It is very convenient to I-80 and the Cuyahoga National Park. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Kenisee Grand River Campground, Geneva, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We needed an overnight stop. This campground is close to the highway and quiet. We requested a pull through site and were assured they had one 100' long. Our site was long, however, it was definitely NOT level. We were just barely able to get out car into the site without unhooking (which we did not plan on doing just for one night) We were not able to really level our coach, but managed and were very glad to be staying one night. Almost all of this campground is seasonal sites. We camped at Kenisee Grand River Campground in a Motorhome.

Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Every once in a while you find a true gem. This is a small, lovely campground run by the town of Gering. It is well laid out with good spacing between sites. Our site was long and level making set up really easy. The managers were friendly and very helpful. We had a view of Scott's Bluff. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.

Toledo East / Stony Ridge KOA, Perrysburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older, somewhat shabby KOA. It is very close to I-80 and an acceptable overnight stop. Our site was just barely long enough for our motorhome and towed car. Our site was so wet and muddy we had to get out our plastic shoes to walk outside. Interior roads are just barely wide enough for big rigs. We would avoid this campground in the future. Not up to the standards that we thought KOA had. We camped at Toledo East / Stony Ridge KOA in a Motorhome.
