Cotopaxi/Arkansas River KOA, Cotopaxi, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Booked a premium space next to creek which would have been ok if I had a 25 ft, no slides RV. Moved to another premium site next to a loud water pump that kept going on and off all night.

This KOA is old and too small for modern day premium RVs. Your are on a nice river, but it's a steep climb down to it and then back up. We camped at Cotopaxi/Arkansas River KOA in a Motorhome.

Red Mountain Motel, RV Park & Cabins, Silverton, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the 2nd time in the last 2 years. The pad sites are a little tight but very long. We had very good 50 amp and great water. The wife loves watching the trains come and go, and they love motorcycles Jeeps and 4 wheelers here. Will be back next year for the RMAR rally. Oh and the owners found a spare set of my motorhome keys and sent them to us, great caring folks. We camped at Red Mountain Motel, RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here twice this Summer and found the owners were very nice and the park is new but very nice and quite. It is very close to Crested Butte and also close to bike trails. We stayed in our 45ft MH and had lots of room for tow car and motorcycles. The place has a park like setting with a river running thru it. We camped at Crested Butte RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Red Mountain Motel, RV Park & Cabins, Silverton, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 5 nights during a cycle meet and loved it. We have been camping in the four corners area for over 25 years but had never stayed in Silverton. It is our loss. We have a 43 ft RV and the owner had us park on the back row overlooking the railroad tracks (steam trains ) and the mountains.. It was perfect. We are coming back next year and look forward to staying here again. We camped at Red Mountain Motel, RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This place is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at in Colorado. There are tables, swings, easy chairs at at most sites. A big plus is the grounds look like a golf course. Grass and lakes (with trout) great fun for kids. Its off the highway about 1/2 mile and is very QUIET. We camped at Gunnison KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice and quiet, ranch type park: no horses just large and peaceful. Well stocked store and can even rent cars if needed. There are 3 different areas to camp here plus cabins also. We find the park close to all the things we like about the Rushmore area. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
