Creekside Campground, Deadwood, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very easy access right next to 385. There is no cable or Wi-Fi and TV reception is limited to one or two channels, cell phone service is also very poor. The sites are nice, concrete and level, water, electric, and sewer hookups all easy access. The park is very clean, the restrooms and showers are also very clean. All fees must be paid in cash there are no discounts and make sure you get a receipt just in case. Over all the campground is a 10 but can't give it a 10 because of other campgrounds in area that offer discounts and have Wi-Fi service. We camped at Creekside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Arrow Campground, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is the only campground in wall we will stay at yes it is a little run down older campground that is the only reason for the 9 rating; the staff was friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to the Wall Drug store with all the restaurants and gift shops. We are also only a short drive to the Badlands. We had no problems with noise from the railroad tracks and never even knew that a train went by every morning around 3 am and blows the whistle quite a few times. We were out of range of the Wi-Fi. If your wanting a nice place to stay the night then you can't go wrong with this campground. If you need all the fancy new modern features then tis peaceful campground isn't for you. We camped at Arrow Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Kellogg RV Park, Kellogg, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The Access to park was easy and returning to Interstate was just as easy. Graveled roads and level graveled sites separated by narrow grassed strips each site had a picnic table. Check in at the gas station was quick and easy. This is a good over night park which is what we were seeking. We camped at Kellogg RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night as a stopover on our trip in a pull in - back out site with only water and electric there is a free dump station on the way out the park. The park is very neat and orderly. My only complaint about the campground is there signage along the interstate it says campground two miles while the actual campground is about 8 miles from the sign, I know that's no big deal but when you're tired and looking for a campground 2 miles off the interstate it is a big deal. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a 26 foot travel trailer. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park & Campground, Oxford, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here over night on our trip we had full hookup and the park is a little hard to navigate but any average camper shouldn't have any problem pulling a camper through the park. It is well maintained and close to the interstate but there was no noise from the highway. The WiFi didn't work where we stayed but I didn't camp for the WiFi. This is a great stop over park. It would also be a great place for a week or weekend stay in my option. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rapid City RV Park and Campground, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for three nights in a 26 foot TT and our site was small, tight and not level and to top it off our sewer connection was up hill. There was little or no grass and overall visual impression very poor all the sights are stacked on small terraces. The Wi-Fi didn't work we were told by the staff it would be fixed Monday today is Saturday. This park advertises Wi-Fi in big letters on their sign. The staff didn't seem to care or mind that the Wi-Fi didn't work they just said their device wouldn't connect and had to wait till Monday when the company who services it will look at the problem. This might be a common problem with this campground; one of the previous reviews that date back to 2013 had the same problem with the Wi-Fi. When we left Tuesday morning the Wi-Fi still was down. The bathrooms and restrooms are ok and were clean. I wouldn't stay here again they are way overpriced, with their cost being one of the highest in the area for full hook ups. One thing I noticed is their refund policy they will not give a refund for any reason even on reservations which should tell you the quality of the park. We camped at Rapid City RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Steel Wheel Campground, Deadwood, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for 3 nights, there was no cell service, the Wi-Fi was working on and off, our hot spot worked fine, and the TV reception was worthless, there was no cable, we used our satellite system from our site with no problem... The fire pit was close to our rig but not really a problem if you don't leave it unattended. There is a picnic table at each site on a little concrete pad. All the sites had some grass. The hook ups were conveniently located. The staff was friendly, and the showers and bathroom, and laundry rooms were very clean and well maintained. . We camped at Steel Wheel Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Absaroka Bay RV Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived here with no reservations on a Friday afternoon and the owner / staff went out of their way to help us with a full hook up site. They only had back ins for TT's 25 foot or less and our 26 foot fit perfect in one of the end sites since we were told the two end sites were the longest and they gave us the site next to it to park our truck at no extra cost. Because the site was a back in we were given a discount. All sites are level and gravel, grass and picnic table at each site. All sites are full hookup's good Wi-Fi. Showers were clean with lots of hot water. Grass covered dog walk along one edge of park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again!! We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is our first stay at this campground since 2006 and the personal and staff was very friendly and helpful which is a big improvement over our last stay here. This is a large campground with many sections and each area has there own special appeal. We chose to stay at the base camp with a back in site with full hookups. Our site was gravel and very level and no leveling blocks were needed all sites have a picnic table and fire pit. The Cable TV was good and the Wi-Fi was very good at our site. There are three laundries in the campground and we used the one at the main camp and it was nice and adequate. This is your idea campground for the Black Hills area which includes Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, and Custer State Park. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Whistler Gulch RV Park & Campground, Deadwood, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are a little small. Each site has a picnic table on a small patch of grass between the sites. The sites are pretty level.

The wi-fi is good, and you’re within walking distance to downtown Deadwood which is about a mile away, or you can take the trolley car system that has a stop right at the park's clubhouse. It's $1 to ride into town if you don't want to walk, and it comes once an hour in the morning and twice an hour in the afternoons and evenings up until midnight. There is no cable TV in the park and because of the surrounding hills your antenna is almost worthless. They have high water pressure in the park, 60lbs and higher so make sure you have a water regulator. The laundry room was clean and more than enough washers and dryers to go around. We camped at Whistler Gulch RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has new management and they are very friendly and working on making this the campground of choice in the Wall area. The campground has small level gravel sites that are slanted to allow easier entrance and exit from the sites. A picnic table is available at each site, there was very good cable TV and WiFi. The campground is within walking distance to Wall Drug. We would stay here again with no hesitation. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have camped at the Base Camp for the last 4 years and this year we were disappointed with our stay. The staff seemed to be rude this year and have an attitude. This is a nice camp ground and should be considered in your stay. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
