Lake George Escape Camping Resort, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $94.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park with a large percentage of tent sites. We stayed in their most basic rental cabin and it had ample space for a family of 5. TV, fridge and a screen door were an added luxury. Pool is adjacent to a bar and a grill with very reasonable rates. Downside was it turned into a dance floor with a DJ who played extremely loud rap music until 10pm on weeknights. Our cabin was 30 yards away. Staff was extremely friendly. Camp store is large with a wide variety of offerings. We camped at Lake George Escape Camping Resort in a Cabin.

Twin Mountain/Mt. Washington KOA, Twin Mountain, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

Great location but the park is just okay. It's an older, pretty much bare bones KOA. Staff was attentive and the store has everything you need at reasonable prices. Those are the positives. Only two restroom facilities, one of which is next to the pool and becomes a mess early. There is road noise but the occupants of the many tent sites drown that out well into the early morning hours. Playground, pool, and dog park are all as basic as you can get. They charge extra for kids and pets. Nevermind KOA's "Holiday" designation this is just an average campground that we will not stay in again. We camped at Twin Mountain/Mt. Washington KOA in a Cabin.

Cherokee / Great Smokies KOA, Cherokee, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Don't give out a 5 -star rating often but this place deserves it. Everything about this KOA was excellent. Extremely friendly staff. Very clean park. spacious with lots to do. We weren't able to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool or snack bar since it was too early in the season, but from the looks of things those features would've only added to our enjoyment. The indoor pool facilities were under construction but we were still able to enjoy it. We definitely would stay here again. We camped at Cherokee / Great Smokies KOA in a Cabin.

Littleton / Lisbon KOA, Littleton, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

What you expect from a KOA. Staff was especially attentive and keep a very clean campground. Park adjacent to river, which is great for wading/fishing/tubing. Camp store could use a wider variety of items. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Littleton / Lisbon KOA in a Campground Cabin.

Delaware Water Gap / Pocono Mountain KOA, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $94.00
Overall Rating:

If there is a floor in which to qualify for a KOA this place is it. This place was literally still under construction. From cabins to the camp store/kitchen. They just weren't ready for the camping season and for the price you pay that's disappointing to say the least. This campground has very little to offer. The staff however was very friendly. We camped at Delaware Water Gap / Pocono Mountain KOA in a Campground Cabin.

Williamsburg KOA, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

I would've rated this campground higher if they had paid just a little more attention to detail. Perhaps April is a little early in their season to stay here because they didn't seem ready. The cabin we stayed in was dirty when we arrived and the park in general was in need of some TLC. The campground store offered little outside of souvenirs but there is a Wal-Mart located a short drive from here. Camp staff was very friendly and accommodating. We camped at Williamsburg KOA in a Campground Cabin.

Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. Convenient to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Trolley stops inside campground. Very clean heated pool. Friendly staff. The newer bathrooms were very clean. The older ones show their age. Lots of wooded tent camping sites. Store could use some variety. Price reflects Koa Kamper Kabin rate. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Campground Cabin.

Nice big KOA. Fast and friendly check in at a well stocked camp store. Lots of area to walk around. Big pool and playground area. To have to pay to use the kids jumping pillow is ridiculous though. Camping Cabin provided linens. We camped at Williamsport South / Nittany Mountain KOA in a Campground Cabin.

Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA, Buckeye Lake, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $78.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice KOA. Big clean pool. Big playground. Well stocked camp store. Great pizza restaurant within walking distance. Very clean place. The one negative that stood out was that I read over and signed more rules than I think I ever have anywhere else, but it wasn't enough to diminish their well deserved 10. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA in a Campground Cabin.

Honesdale / Poconos KOA, Honesdale, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

This is now the Honesdale/Poconos KOA. We did not like this park at all and would never stay here again. We paid the most expensive rate we've ever paid for a KOA cabin, and it was little more than a plywood shed that was old, dirty, and smelled. With a padlock on the door to boot. The people who checked us in were friendly, and they are a new KOA campground, but it doesn't meet the standards I've come to expect from that brand name. Gravel roads and sites, the pond is stagnant water, and the pool itself was dirty and filled with dead insects. We camped at Honesdale / Poconos KOA in a Campground Cabin.

Lake Paradise Resort, Lone Jack, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. The park is older and has an abandoned feel, but it's obvious that ownership is trying hard to bring it back. Staff was extremely welcoming. The pool was the highlight, it's huge, and day passes are only $2 a person if you're staying at the campground. The selection in the camp store was limited and the restaurant was closed except for weekends. The menu looked limited to basic grill items. Appears to have it's share of seasonals. Plenty of room to walk around, but still could use a fenced in pet walk. The cabins are very basic. We would stay here again, but in a motorhome or trailer. We camped at Lake Paradise Resort in a Campground Cabin.
