It's been a year since last review, just wanted to say everything is the same. If you know Wisconsin in the summer, on the weekend everything is booked and reserved. This is the one place you can get a big rig into without reservations. Not much to do in park but if you have something going in area, this is a great place to park.

Date of Stay:

Casino camping on a beautiful grassy lot. Newer easy for big rigs to get around. Nice pool nice casino good food. Very busy fast turnover.

Camping on the river with Red Wing, MN across the river. Marina is on the river so when it floods everyone has to move out. Kind of tight with some low branches, but we fit 40 plus feet in. Good food at bar near entrance.

Older reviews sum it up. Just wanted to add best suited to smaller and medium rvs. We did fit 43 feet in midweek. Entrance narrow, roads narrow but trees are well trimmed. Owner helpful , had a full service 50 amp spot. Couldn't get Satalite from our spot phone service 1 bar for Verizon. Lots are grass we had the only gravel spot 107. Every rv park in this area is for smaller rigs. Check out Rushford for converted mobile home park.

We are enjoying this park, it is outside Yuma right next to the foothills. Hiking, biking, lots of activities, happy hours 5 days a week with entertainment. Lot of renovations lately since Cal Am took over. Nice restaurant and bar. They have some pull through spots in a blacktop area for overnight. Came here after spending a month at the most expensive park in Yuma enjoying this place much more. Extending stay and will be coming back here. If you stop here the registration area is poorly marked. It is on the side of frontage road directly in front of office. If you pull in you will be in old section with small roads. If you go to large entrance saying golf course restaurant you will end up parking 3 blocks away.

Very nice quiet park set on a hillside out in the country. No cell service no Internet, just sit back read a book and or look at the beautiful countryside. Owner very nice old guy keeps a real clean campground. This is a place to relax with no frills. It was built when RVs were small, with no slides, so the lots are small but he only uses half the lots. Nice place to get together with friends and relax.

Stayed during the week so it was half empty , nice and quiet. They have 3 boat launch ramps on island, fishing is easy to do here. They have all types of sites, grass, paved, large, small, tree covered and open. Nice group areas and large private sites. Bathrooms well used , could use some upgrading. Well maintained grounds, was dry during our stay but lot of low areas next to river. Good dump stations. Cell service good, close to town enjoyed our 3 day stay.

Nice for an overnight stop although it is several miles from interstate. 4 very long pull thru sites with about 30 back in sites. A stand of trees block satellite, on bat wing no network came in, phone service very slow for data. Still $20 a night. But they have a great little restaurant very reasonably prices with fish buffet on Friday. The hwy noise was not too bad, train was a long way away and the medavac helicopter had no flights the night we stayed. The bathhouse and laundry get very little use but do exist.

I agree with all the good comments about this park. Friendly people, nice place to stay for a week, month, or the winter. I use Verizon phone internet and the 4g connection was great here. I have a class A now, but I would have felt comfortable here in my last Class B LTV. The bathrooms and showers are great. The bike ride into town is short with a bike lane most of the way. Several nice parks along river.

This is a little jewel of a park if you are into quiet camping, kayaking, or canoeing. It is a county park 6 miles north of Arcadia on Brownville St right on river. Boat ramp, hiking trails, and a little play ground for the kids. I guess you could fit a 40 footer in a couple of the spots, but it is for smaller rigs class B or C. I have been riding my bike through it last couple of weeks (I am staying in large RV park nearby) It is one of the canoe stopover points for people going down the Peace River. They say $20 a night with firewood. I would have loved to stay in this park when I had my class B.

I would just like to echo all the favorable comments made about this place. Large concrete patios, two car concrete parking space, and good grass. Lots of dogs but no issues. I use Verizon phone internet. It is 3g here but works well. The bike riding is not bad on country roads. Town is 6 miles away. I got a special price at Tampa RV Show so $20 a night for the month. I will be back here even at full price.

We loved this place talk about close to the ocean for $46. We hit it at the right time I see where this place could be a zoo. The beach is great you can walk for miles. One spot we had was like 250 feet to pool and same to ocean. We had one spot that was long and another little short but next time I will have reservation.

Great park stayed extra day so we could see the test lighting of 2 million Christmas lights. Great dog park nice bike trails. Will be stopping here again. They had shuttle to town.

This was OK for a state park wish we could have got an ocean site. The river sites are in thick trees my site last site left for the night had some low limbs but got 12 6 high in. The fort is worth the admission. Showers looked nice. OK but now that I have seen it no need to go back.
