We got a space in the rear of the park close to the restrooms/laundry; however, they weren't open and we had to trek all the way to the office area to take showers etc. The Wi-Fi can be touchy to connect to and very slow during prime evening times. Plus small planes tend to fly close overhead from time to time...not to mention the occasional trains chugging by. Sure glad we brought good ear plugs with us. This park is fine for an overnight, but it's not a destination.

We were a bit hesitant to stay in a 55+ park at first, but decided to try it. The manager, assigned us to the "honeymoon suite" and heaped all kind of useful information about getting around Santa Fe, good places to see and eat. She made us feel immediately welcomed. The park is very well situated for accessing Santa Fe and it surrounds. You won't be able to walk to the center of town, but public transportation is available. Cerrillos is a busy street so if you're a light sleeper you'll want a spot away from the road. Overall, we had a wonderful time and plan to return in the future.

Apparently this park is under new management and they haven't quite gotten it together yet. Twice I was given the wrong address for this park. When making reservations, I was told it was within walking distance of the downtown historical area. It is, if you want to walk 2 miles along Hwy 80 to get there. Also I was told it has a laundry room. It does, but about half the machines don't work and if they do, only on cold water. The pool is closed because the weather's "too cold." Huh? It's 85 degrees out and has been for weeks. Finally, the guy who works here says there's no hot water in the showers. Although I haven't tried them yet, I wouldn't be surprised if he was right. We are not happy campers here.
