Colonia del Rey RV Park, Corpus Christi, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Two night stay, stayed due to other reviews. Hit the nail on the head. Good service. Accompanied us to our site, drive through. Nearly full campground. Did make reservations due to snow birds. Used restrooms late at night, still very clean, not perfect, but still clean. Easy to use, hooks, chair, separate shower from sink toilet area, very large. Easy to get to Padre Island or back to Corpus. Would stay here again. We camped at Colonia del Rey RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Okay place to stop between Watson Lake and Dawson Creek,( note tough curvy road so takes a while) Park is set up okay, spaces ok, hook-ups good, Wifi great, Nice shop and restaurant on the premise, you can walk to the visitor center the museum from the park. One plus Minus the restroom and shower is a MESS,,, HORRRRRIBLE,,, for what were paying not even okay. Sheep Mountain Lodge, Glacier View, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Cool, I'm the first one to review. This is mainly a lodge, owner has six spots with 30 amp and water, facing the mountains. Located at 113 on Glenn Hwy, Sutton, AK. Excellent restaurant. Super great place to stay especially if coming or going. Second time to stay here and just as nice as last time. Some of the cleanest rest rooms you will ever use. We camped at Sheep Mountain Lodge in a Motorhome.

Crooked Creek RV Park, Kasilof, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Site was not level, spongy, some grass. Hookups were OK. Restroom was OKn not the cleanest, but acceptable. $7 bucks for a shower is not acceptable. I realize lots of overhead but that's too much. HOWEVER if you want to fish in Alaska this is a great place. Walk to the Kasilof, or you can get charters to float fish, or go halibut fishing. Owners were very helpful and provide good service. Lots of people here if the fish are biting, so call ahead. Probably a mad house during the salmon runs. Would only stay here if I was fishing. We camped at Crooked Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kenai Princess RV Park, Cooper Landing, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

First, be careful using the milepost,,, need to drive to Cooper Landing it's in the city. There's a sign for it 2 miles of the Sterling. Nice setting right on the Kenai River. No fishing though have to go to the Russian River area or into Soldotna. We drove down from Denali. Long drive. Lady working the desk was very friendly. Showers were ok, not the nicest, but acceptable. Sites were good, full hook-ups, cable and wifi very good. Would stay again. We camped at Kenai Princess RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beaver Creek RV Park (formerly Westmark Inn RV Park), Beaver Creek, Yukon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

I pre plan my stops. Picked this campground based upon previous reviews. Mistake... Hook-ups spaces were good. Bathroom was dirty, showers looked the same. Office was a mess, combo office laundry was biggest mess stuff every where. Hopefully, they will clean this up. Saw some other spots and will try a different place either here or over the border. Had scheduled to stay here on my way back from Alaska and will only stay here if I have to. We camped at Beaver Creek RV Park (formerly Westmark Inn RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Yukon Motel & Lakeshore Resort, Teslin, Yukon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Our third visit. Frst was in 2012, nothing changed, especially the shower/bathroom facility. I have no problem with the gravel in the campground, a little dusty, hook-ups fine. The restroom is pretty close to one of the worst I have ever seen. No heat. Water temp low, not clean. I think they better spend a little money are people are going to start passing by. It is in a great location. If I had a do over, would go else where Will not stay here again. Also WiFi is in the office area. Restaurant is good. We camped at Yukon Motel & Lakeshore Resort in a Motorhome.

Prince Rupert RV Campground, Prince Rupert, British Columbia

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park is set up about 1.5 miles from downtown, nice set up on a hill. Spots and hook-ups very nice. Bathroom seems a little dirty, no TP in the bathroom, water not very warm. Needs more places hooks to hang clothes. Not sure if the blower in the shower area was a heater or not. For this price the bathroom should be super. Also charged me $2 a day for the dog. Nice places to walk dog, though. If they remodeled the shower area this place would be a 10/9. Wi-Fi did work great on spot 16 on top of hill. Not much choice when you come here. We did bike to downtown--hilly. Laundry is closed from 8 PM to 9 AM. The spaces here are great, hook-ups great gravel with lots of grass. No bugs. Overall disappointing I guess would stay again since it's the only place. If had choice, no. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Shady Rest RV Park, Houston, British Columbia

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Super park, super restrooms, owners are super nice, what can I say, sorry to note they are trying to sell the place. Hope the new owners are as great. Lots of deer and some bears in the area. Wifi was excellent. We were in space 46. It's May 28 and on the way to Alaska. Mosquitoes are everywhere and were at the last two camp grounds so be prepared. Weather was cool so we parked in the open to help the wind blow some of the skeeters away,, did not help too much haha. Complete hook-ups, no cable, but able to get some local stations on the antenna. Water and electric a little far apart(no problem) just be aware when you park. I tried to go back to get the rear up and had to move up a foot. Pets will like the park lots of grass for them. Would stay here again, great overnighter. We camped at Shady Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wild Rose RV Park, Hope, British Columbia

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, extremely large back in spots, a little tighter for the pull thru. Restroom clean and clean. Excellent. Staff was friendly, gave good instructions and answered all questions. Quiet a few seasonal campers, but park is clean and well maintained. Still can not get over how big the spot was. Grass and lots of it, easy to walk to the puppy dog. Wifi and cable, free showers, which for the price should be included. Not disappointed and would stay here again. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

On our way to Alaska, wanted a park prior to Hope which fit the bill. Prior reviews sold us and not disappointed. Short hop to Hope, then off to Alaska until we get to Williams Lake. Plan a short stop at Hell's Gate Canyon.

Tips for other Campers:

Costco right down the street, tons of places close by, none within walking distance though. I would call for reservations a couple of days ahead. I think they are limited for drive bys and you could end up with no spot. College town, so any Texas Tech event will be a problem.

Great park. Lots of full timers, but very convenient if passing through. Easy access. Spots level. Some of the nicest bathroom/showers you will ever use. Call first though to make sure he has some spots. Only reason not a 10, no cable. Sam's is down the street. Will stay here again. We camped at Loop 289 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Second time to stay here. They have redone the pads now with asphalt, very nice. Some of them are not level, no problem with ours. If your going to the Canyon this is place to stay, can catch the shuttle buses to anywhere in the park. We used our bikes and ran all over the place. Deer, elk running thru the park, nice. I wonder why they do not have showers, just a restroom. Would give this park a 10 if they did. Also why no Wi-Fi,,pay 33 a vehicle plus 5.00 for each extra person...?? hmm.. Otherwise great place to stay, remember RESERVATIONS A MUST!!!!!! Park was full two of four days we stayed. Just use the Xanterra site, easy to use. Will stay again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Red Rock Park, Churchrock, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed based upon other reviews. Positives, very cheap, nice views, Okay for doggies, however lots and lots of sticker bushes, hard to walk them. Check-in: yipes, signs hard to follow, it's next door to the museum, left side of convention center. Everyone really nice, if you want pull into the park pick a place, then go register and pay, take some cash. They have a ton of events here. I would call and make sure they have some spots. No one there when we went. Showers are clean and okay; just look old from lots of use. Would stay there again. We camped at Red Rock Park in a Motorhome.
