Little River Casino Resort, Manistee, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a spotless RV park. Sites are well spaced apart. No fire rings and nothing for kids (playground). We come here once a year and really like it. There is a indoor pool in the hotel. Within walking distance to the casino will be back next year for sure. We camped at Little River Casino Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Casino is a fun Casino for slots, very good variety. Buffet is terrible. We had cheese burgers at the delicatessen they were fantastic. The downtown are is nice. Meijer grocery store about a mile away. Nice beach on Lake Michigan.

Charles Mears State Park, Pentwater, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is my new Love for Lake Michigan beach camping! Yes the sights are small and people are packed in. Lots of sand every where but all pads are paved. At first I thought oh no, I don't know about this place. It grew on me. If you are lucky enough to get a site that backs into the dunes they seem to be wider. All the dunes have trails to go up with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, they also have benches to set and enjoy the view or watch the sunset. The beach is beautiful, the water is clean and clear, just a very short walk from your campsite. Very nice Rangers at the park and very helpful. People there are a bunch of happy campers. The small town of Pentwater is so cute with a lot of nice stores. We had a great AT&T 4G signal on both our phones and iPad. We will defiantly go back. We camped at Charles Mears State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff. Easy on and off freeway. Very good cable and WiFi. Long pull throughs. Will definitely stop here again. Only turn off was some of the permanent people having so much junk outside of trailers. We camped at Clinton / Knoxville North KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sanlan RV & Golf Resort, Lakeland, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, would come back if in the area. Very secure entrance gate with pass code to get in at night. 24 hour park ranger on duty. 50% here are permanent residents, then you have your seasonals, the rest is for short term stays. Our site was in the very back not far from the highway. There was a berm, which cut down on the traffic noise, no problem. The sites are very narrow. Cable TV very fuzzy. Wi-Fi was in and out. We camped at Sanlan RV & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night on our way to Florida. A great place for sure for that and would definitely stay here again. It is a pretty park. The lower rating is due to the fact that, no swimming pool, the spaces are a little narrow, and 50% are seasonal. Cable and Wi-Fi was good. Easy on and off I-75. Large variety of restaurants in area. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA, Corbin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for one night and we would stay here again. This park has a beautiful setting. We stayed in a premium site that had a nice patio with lawn furniture. It was kind of on a hill which was very nice. You can tell it would be a nice park in the summer with the large swimming pool , trees and rolling hills. Cable was good, Wi-Fi was great, and very friendly helpful people. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tahquamenon Falls State Park, Paradise, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful area of Michigan. Defiantly a must see. The campground was also nice. We stayed in the lower falls. The best sights would be on the river or on the premier of the park. Sights in the river would have to be booked 6 months in advanced. If you are into hiking this would be for you. Nothing really to do there after seeing the falls. Absolutely no cell service, no IPad (AT&T). Could not pick up any local channels on TV. This is really roughing it for me. There 3 campgrounds in this state park. Lower falls and upper falls are about 2 miles apart. The 3rd one is Rivermouth which is about 15 miles from the other two. We camped at Tahquamenon Falls State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bay Mills RV Park, Brimley, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean campground within walking distance to the casino which is across the street. For full hookups with Wi-Fi you can't go wrong. We stayed in the older section because it has trees. The newer section looks more like a parking lot with hardly any trees. A lot of big rigs were parked over there. We camped at Bay Mills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

S.C.I.T. Campground (The Hill), Mt Pleasant, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We love this little campground. It is a hidden gem in Mt Pleasant. It is beautiful with its tall trees and city park right next to it. A great place to relax and go to the Soaring Eagle Casino. You can take the shuttle or just drive 3 miles to it. We camped at S.C.I.T. Campground (The Hill) in a Fifth Wheel.

Petoskey KOA, Petoskey, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice KOA. Beautiful grounds and well maintained. Very small lots, No privacy and very packed in. Fire rings are built inside the ground with no grate over them, I am very surprised about that because it was a major tripping hazard. While we were there dogs were barking everywhere, I think people left them in their RV's. Some people had 3 dogs. Petoskey is a beautiful place to visit. We love the state park there so that is where we will stay the next time. We camped at Petoskey KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Munising/Pictured Rocks KOA (Wandering Wheels Campground), Munising, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The worst campground and big rip off that we ever stayed in. I totally 100% agree with the previous reviewer. We camped in the back area which was more private, but we had no Wi-Fi service and no sewers back there. Campers were pulled in any way they wanted and you were facing someone else door. Interior roads were dirt and very dusty with dirt flying everywhere. It felt like you were in the jungle, love trees but this was too many. No signs in campground that mark campsites in each row. We had family over that was vacationing in area also, it was embarrassing. Stayed 3 nights, could not wait to leave. We camped at Munising/Pictured Rocks KOA (Wandering Wheels Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeshore Park Campground, Saint Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed one night, but wish we could of stayed a week. This is a very peaceful park with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. It would make a great base camp for all the other places you would want to visit in the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. WiFi was great, if they had cable it would have gotten a 10. You can still get several local channels. This park has recently became a Good Sam park which makes it good for us with the 10% discount. Can't wait to go back. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Covert / South Haven KOA, Covert, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We really liked this KOA. Sights were grassy but large. You did not have the feeling of being cramped. Good WiFi and cable TV. Beautiful pool, very pretty grounds, and friendly staff. Only down side for me was that it was about 10 miles to South Havens beach. South Haven is a great little Lake Michigan town with a great beach, good restaurants, and great little shops. Loved our stay in this area. We will stay at this KOA again. We camped at Covert / South Haven KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights. Very clean, people friendly, perfect place to stay for going to the casinos and touring the Vicksburg area. A lot of history and nice downtown. We were in back row with view of a lot of trees and park like setting. Laundry room was clean. Good cable TV, but weak Wi-Fi. Very close to everything including some great overlooks of the Mississippi River. The Ameristar Casino riverboat was a sight to see as you drove down the steep hill to get to it. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
