Waldport / Newport KOA, Waldport, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice campsite for a KOA. The sites were well laid out and comfortably large enough. Utilities were fine, but we only had 30 amp available. We would rank this as one of the nicer KOA's. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Waldport / Newport KOA in a Motorhome.

Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park, Astoria, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, right next to a road, with very little/no security. Grass between sites is manicured just like what you would find on a golf course fairway. They have a pet area and ask to have the pets walked there, unfortunately, because ours was too old to make the walk we were not able to obey that rule. Laundry was very clean and reasonable, $4 for a load both wash and dried. No putting in quarters in the slots. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice campground. The staff is great. The laundry is excellent. Sites size is generous. All sites are nice, however the sites next to the road tend to be noisy. There is a great restaurant down the road. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gig Harbor RV Resort, Gig Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $40.00

Sites were extremely tight, really tight, couldn't put out our awning or really sit outside. Utilities were fine, only 30 amp services available in the section that we were in. We would probably not stay here again. We camped at Gig Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

RedRock RV Park, Island Park, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. Owners/managers are really nice people. They escort you to the site. The sites are plenty large enough. Layout is interesting, with campers back to back, but it really works well. Laundry is equipped with all new washers and driers. Only downside, it is a little far from West Yellowstone and Yellowstone park. On the positive, it is quiet. It appears the other parks on the main route could be pretty noisy. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Big Pine Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We really cannot say enough good about this campground and the owners who run it. We have traveled extensively around the US and believe this is one of the best campgrounds we have every stayed at. It starts with being escorted to your site. While being a back in, The owner helps get you into the site and helps with any hook up problems. There were none. Fifty amp service is available, water pressure is fine. Laundry was clean and neat, maintained daily. The campground is meticulously manicured. The sites are very large with at least 25 feet between sites. The only potential problem is satellite access, it is challenging and could be virtually impossible on some sites. No cable and we understand there are few local channels. The location is handy to all of the local attractions. Again, this is a cannot miss campground. The rate reflects the Good Sam's discount. We camped at Big Pine Campground in a Motorhome.

Richmond KOA, Richmond, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. We stayed for one night on our trip through. Sites were wide and level, management was friendly. Escort to the site, which is nice. Road noise is a negative, not comfortable to sit outside, bearable inside the RV. Would stay here again. We camped at Richmond KOA in a Motorhome.

Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

An adequate campsite for a couple of nights to see the Lincoln sites in Springfield. It is convenient to the city and all of the Lincoln sites. We didn't find the rules burdensome; they are working on keeping the grass nice between the sites. We have found the carpet rules in other campgrounds and can understand. We were there in some pretty bad weather with copious amounts of rain. The sites were pretty damp, but because of the grass, not too muddy. The only real downside is the road noise from I-55; it is loud. We would stay here again, however. We camped at Double J Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Savannah South KOA, Richmond Hill, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We called ahead to make sure we had a site for the night, everything OK. We were asked whether we were towing and responded that we were. When we arrived we were put on a site that required disconnecting, if we had known this we would have stayed at a different campground. We asked for a different site and were told that all of the sites had the utilities in the rear; however, we later found a site that would have been adequate for us. We will probably not use this campground again. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages, Pine Grove, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, spent an overnight stay here in the early part of March. Nice level graveled sites with easy access in and out. The only problem was we needed propane and their advertisement said it was available. When we arrive we were informed there was no propane yet, apparently too early in the year. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Lancaster / New Holland KOA , New Holland, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a number of nights. The view from the sites is wonderful. The campsite is located near all of the tourist attractions. We didn't use the cable TV because we use the satellite dish, but we did use the antenna for the second set and found enough channels to be entertained. The campsite lacks pool and playground, so it might not be kid friendly. But that leads to peace and quiet. Pets are allowed with the usual rules, however, this is the first time that we have ever been asked to present the papers for our dog. We really enjoyed the place and are discussing our return trip later in the fall. We camped at Lancaster / New Holland KOA in a Motorhome.

Artillery Ridge Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park. Sites are gravel and as level as could be expected. All utilities worked well. The laundry was probably the best that we have encountered. New washing machines and dryers, the only place that we have been where we have dried a load in less than one hour. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that we found wrong was the internet connection would occasionally slow down to dial up speed. We camped at Artillery Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages, Pine Grove, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here during our trip up I-81. This is what a KOA should be. The campsites are wide, with plenty of room. All of the campsites are terraced into a side hill and have been perfectly leveled with plenty of trap rock for a base. The utilities are thoughtfully laid out. WiFi works flawlessly without passwords and user names. There are plenty of cable channels. This is a place where we will definitely return. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.
